I agree that punting is nothing to be ashamed of. However, there are many people out there who think it is disgusting and therefore I never share my punting life with anyone.

I introduced two mates to punting about seven years ago. Had a mmf and mmff with them. Been on loads of punting trips with them.  One of them is just about to hang up his boots and I'm away on a punting trip with the other,  in a couple of weeks.

I went to Amsterdam with work colleagues/friends. Introduced them to window shopping. We were all single guys and when word got around at work we had lots of guys coming up and saying they wish they had tagged along. One of the girls at work asked me when we all went out for drinks if I had gone with one of the women and I was honest. She called me a dirty bastard but then had a wicked grin around me for the whole evening. I am careful not to boast about UK punting at work but lads trips overseas seem to be acceptable for some reason.

Indeed it can be and a great place to meet other punters and swap punting numbers and keep in touch which I do with a number of punters, For ME this is ideal as I know they are punters for certain.

A long time ago I was going to tell a very good mate I was a punter but I am very glad I didn't as a while later we had a terminal falling out and he would of certainly told my then partner out of spite, so my advice to punters is think very carefully of the potential consequences of telling mates or others you know. One example, your single now and a mate or mates know your a punter which isn't a problem then you meet a woman who you love BUT your mate or one of your mates lets it slip about you paying for sex in the past, that COULD be the end of the relationship dependent on the woman.

So if you have something in life to lose think long and hard before doing so.

I started punting with two mates back in the early 1990's, we all still punt to this day. The only time one of us told a mate was when we had a WG with us and needed a place, he refused and threatened to tell others what we do. Since then, not told anyone. Having mates who punt certainly helps I think, as you can have a talk if one of us has punted alone, or when we first started punting it was great to talk and laugh about it afterwards, plus if one has a bad punt they can tell.

Found out a close friend is also a punter fairly recently, and we took another pal to a Spanish whorehouse at the end of a boozy night out. Didn't tell him where we were going, and he assumed at first it was a really friendly nightclub until the first girl mentioned prices. It's what I thought to be honest, just he's had a couple of shit punts and thought about warning others, but as you say, best for the person to do so. Will try getting him to join

Never done a party and in fact its something i want to do. Prob is im often in NE scotland where if you are lucky you can shag a sheep. Im in newcastle area   often but there are no parties there. Iv been in leeds and sheffield lately for punts and at a push i could get to manchester, i think iv read of some there. Maybe someone knows more info on this. Punting with real life mates is ace.  Especially when abroad in knocking shops.  Which lend themselves naturally to a team visit & an extended stay.  Especially when a pukka place with loads of girlies, a good bar & in some places the girlies taking it in turns up on a stage stripping off.  A bit more expensive on the drinks side but not clip joint money etc

I have a definite lack of punting mates in real life. Theres quite a few places around Europe I would like to visit if this was not the case. Anyone else in a similar boat?
