Author Topic: does porn fuck you up?  (Read 2116 times)

A question that has personally fuck me up. It seems to be something that is becoming more of a issue with men in this sexualised world. I've had nightmares in the past having sex after habitually watching porn. Getting a hard on when a beautiful girl or two are playing with my knob and especially maintaining it when having intercourse. I have found that I can't watch porn and have a sex life. When I'm having sex my  mind races and i can't cope with the images I've been looking at and enjoy the reality of actual sex. I have sorted it out but I still go through mad porn watching phases that requires me to stop totally looking at  any sexual images for sometimes 2 months to reset my mind.
Is it that common?

We had a similar kind of discussion last week. I think it does fuck you up,Seeing constant fanny and tits on video and in pictures numbs the mind so when you finally see real ones it's hard for your brain and penis to react. I was having a situation where I was losing an erection actually watching the porn as it no longer gave me a kick.

So recently I've had a complete porn detox, no porn at all for the last few weeks as I was on holiday with no laptop and finding actual real women's company a lot more interesting and sexy.

It's certainly reset my libido, I was waking up with some absolute massive and hard erections, a change from the soft half semis I was having. If you're a guy looking at a lot of porn daily, see if you can give it up. Just for a month at first, as a test of wills and you'll definitely see an improvement.

I'd agree with the above comments, kind of, with porn comes wanking and I think you can wank too much too which can spoil your punts.

There is nothing better than walking up to a pro$$ies door with the wood already on.

Glad its not just me :-)

Sorry if I'm repeating an old thread, I must have missed it.
Its such an odd thing to happen. I think I know before I'm going to have sex that this is going to happen. I can, in my porn induced mind be absolutely up for it (no pun intended) but images and reality are totally different. You don't get the same visual stimulation you get when having sex. The pleasure in actual sex is more to do with feel and touch and not sexy camera angles. It tock me 25 years to work this out !!
Hence no Mrs robbie54321 any more and now an expensive habitual WG problem. One addiction to another!
Its a warning really, be careful!

I'm in a situation where i could still be in a relationship but after hours of porn and having sex with wgs that are not only out of my league but might as well be playing a different game
I find myself less and less interested in girls that would actually be interested in me in real life. That's my problem.

Porn, chocolates, TV, food and everything else should be used with common sense.

I read somewhere once that watching porn leaves you less satisfied with your wife or girlfriend. You get to watch the kind of sex you want with exactly the kind of women you want to see, apparently this can make you devalue what you have at home. We may not appreciate it but perhaps theres something in this? Personally I think that watching a lot of porn has the potential to desensitise us to our experiences. Even watching porn itself, I've noticed that it comes increasingly difficult to find stuff that doesn't bore you.

It's usually the pre-shower where Little Doobie starts waking up. Wanking is faking it while sex is the real thing. If you've already got a booking, then you know you're gonna get the real thing, so there's no need to fake it. Too much porn will damage your mind when it comes to sex and arousal, so best not to overdo it.

Savour the real thing, it's much better than clicking the mouse to play

It's not wanking that gets my wood on the way to the door, it's abstaining from it, my dirty mind does all the work from motor to door bell

My bad cueball, I should split my post differently. The shower thing was a response to your comment, everything else was at the OP

There's more and more serious research on this problem. You can google it yourself, but check out Philip Zimbardo's take on it for starters:

IMO moderation is the key. Erection quality is definitely better after a few days without porn/wanking.

There are entire forums out there based on what you described in the first post, and by their popularity, I'd say your problem is very common.

You say you have mad porn watching phases - what are we talking about here - hours on end?  If so I'd say you have a mild addiction during those times - best to give things a rest.

No reason not to speak to your doctor about this too.

The trouble is that there are only so many ways of fucking and sodomising a woman or sucking her tits and cunt.  For the first year or two of watching it, it can be stimulating, then it becomes boring, and after 10 years its just plain bloody off putting, and wont become stimulating again until an entirely new race of women is born with a completely different set of reproductive organs and entirely new ways of shagging them.

Gary Wilson's talk is worth watching as well, in response to Philip Zimbardo's.

Its certainly a wide debate. One of my regular punts brought the subject up recently, after I mentioned using Spedra.

She suggested I gave porn a rest and see if any improvement. I have to say my regular wank material has been more based on recounting punt encounters recently and the better for it.

Also much harder morning hard on's too...

I haven't missed the porn one bit, to be honest, see enough to last a lifetime anyway..

But what you DO see is in the flesh and 3D.  if you need the extra visual stimulation, then you need to invest in a decent mirror or two.  Simple.

They are working on this very problem right now - expect the new race to be on the streets any time now for exciting new shagging options!

I read something a while back where Drs were stating that they were seeing blokes in their 20s and 30s regularly coming in with sexual dysfunctions that were rarely/never seen 30 or 40 years ago in that age group, and the availability of porno is the problem.
