Author Topic: AI - or Not AI?  (Read 473 times)

I like Bjork.  I also like young cute scandinavian women.

YT offered me (quite out of the blue): External Link/Members Only

Now - I do like the sound. And the visuals.  I don't like €40 for a CD that will ship from them, rather than €10 from Amazon.

This is not because I begrudge artists some cash - its because I think 'Too Good To be True'.  Also pitch perfect, and Bjork - who seems to have got lovelier with age - is not.  I worry this is a 'milk it until we're undone' scam, rather than an outright ripoff.

In short - I think its AI generated.  I have no evidence beyond 'TGBT' cynicism.

So - now what?  I think back to Debbie Harry debut, and others.  I didn't care how manipulated or used they were - pretty girls singing stuff I liked.  This is concerning to me though: not least - am I cynical because she seems so gorgeous, and an obvs entry on a different thread?

Sounds like just another would-be Eurovision entry.
Not AI, well produced but there are still imperfections in the vocals

Yes, it is AI.

Music, vocal and artwork are all AI-generated.

Can I ask how you are so sure?  I agree, but ...

I can't 'tell' from the content itself, except a nagging feeling that she's too pretty - and that no artist who gave a crap about making and selling music rather than OnlyFans would dress like that.

Maybe you have a way to be sure?

The music thing is interesting:  I like JMJ, and Tangerine Dream, and Vangelis.  I don't mind something synthesised, as a counterpoint to (say) Keith Moon and co.  Should I reject everything that was generated as a fusion of that style, if its easy on the ear?  Someone made a skill, and a target, and an AI did the work, and then it was presumably through some quality gate because these things do go mad.

I don't like the dishonesty of not fessing up - its a bit like a VS ad for a Japanese girl in a way - but if you just consume music and horny thoughts about the video, in a way, its not like that at all: what you get is what you see and hear.  You just can't fantasize that she is real.  If she was - what difference would that make?

I do think that there’s a lot of tells in the content itself, but I have a side-project working in that space so maybe I’m more familiar with it.  But ultimately the biggest giveaway is the project’s own transparent disclosure that Aeysa is a virtual/fictional artist whose audio and imagery are produced with generative AI tools under human creative direction.  :hi:

They’re not being deceptive, throughout the aeysa.com website it tells you.

“The Name” page: “Aeysa is an original virtual artist whose story begins in Oslo, Norway. Her music and visual world combine human songwriting and creative direction with AI-generated audio and imagery.” It also describes future plans for language-model-powered conversation with a consistent personality

In the shop Terms: “Aeysa is an original fictional singer and songwriter whose story is set in Oslo, Norway. The project combines human songwriting and creative direction with AI-generated elements in its music and visual content.”

On the shop page itself: Music involves “Human songwriting, composition and creative direction work alongside advanced language models and generative AI tools for audio and imagery… Aeysa is the virtual artist at the centre of this evolving body of work.”

CDs ship from China; the label is listed as Sparkle Protocol Music Label in Limassol, Cyprus. There is no verifiable real-world identity, interviews with a living person, documented traditional live shows, or independent biographical records beyond the online persona.

Ah well.  I hadn't poked around so much.  Scary. :-(
