A new place opened up in Wakefield and thought I would check it out to see if there were any extra services to this place.
Raya is situated at the bottom of Westgate and is the one of Wakefields busiest main road, as well as a bus stop pretty much right outside the door and is wedged in between a parade of shops. Its pretty busy on this little stretch of road, with chicken shops, a pub, barbars and other things.
Parking, depending on the time is fine. There are parking bays in front of the shops. I went at 6pm, during school holidays and i was able to find a car parking space. Its free after 6pm, but limited to 2 hours (I think) before then.
When I arrived, the door was locked and on the front in a big red sticker stating "no sexual services". The girl/ masseuse opened the door and was given a form to fill out (Typical things, Name, address, phone, Any health conditions). The wall is plastered with about 20 framed certifications, and general décor is pleasant and did make you forgot about the roughness outside.
The masseuse herself, was a plump but sturdy girl, about 5'2, Thai, well spoken english, probably about mid to early 30's.
After filling the form I was taken upstairs where there is a toilet and a large massage room with double message tables and some decorative drapes. I was asked to take my clothes of but strictly told to keep my pants on.
After telling her that I had quite a stiff neck and shoulders she went to work, elbowing firmly everything around the neck and shoulders. It was actually amazing! Even though it was actually kind of painful it was also really relaxing. I caught myself snoring 4 times while face down in face hole.
Having had quite a few Thai Massages, i can confidently say that the massage was Authentic including the back bending with the knee in the back and the arms being pulled back.
No signs or suggestions of extras and towel never left my body, however that being said. I would still recommend this place for a really good Thai massage.
