AW: are some profiles inaccessible from abroad/VPNs?

I typically log in AW with a VPN, choosing a country other than the UK.
I have noticed that I am getting this error message on more and more profiles:

The following problem(s) were detected:
Sorry, this member's profile information cannot be presented at this time.

For example, with External Link/Members Only

If I log out of the VPN, or choose a UK server, then these profiles work again.

Is it a setting chosen by the AW member in question? Or is there a technical reason for it?

I get the same issues you referred to, not sure why it does this though but AW has always been a bit odd and buggy.

Some SPs galleries divert me to the mobile site, whereas others don't. It is wholly inconsistent.

They probably blocked some countries on External Link/Members Only

Also some SPs setup their profiles so that they can't be viewed from certain countries like their home country as they're trying to keep their job secret.

Didn't know this was a feature. Learn something new everyday
