I booked a massage with Sara a few days in advance
On the day I turned up 15 minutes early and dropped Sara a message to let her know I was there - nothing
Another message at the actual appointment time - nothing
Maybe she didn't hear the ping of the messages so I called (twice) - nothing + nothing

30 minutes later I got a message explaining that she'd assumed I wasn't coming because I hadn't messaged earlier in the day to confirm it

Wind the clock those few days back when she originally confirmed the appointment. She'd asked me to contact her when I arrived and she would send me the actual address details, but there was nothing about contacting her earlier in the day to confirm, or I would have done so
I suppose the lesson for me is to get in the habit of confirming every appointment earlier on the day, regardless of whether the SP asks it or not

So I guess this one is best described as a misunderstanding on both sides
I feel no ill feelings for Sara, well maybe just a small one for wasting my time, indeed I'd still like to see her next time she's in the area, and if/when that happens I'll even know to contact her beforehand to confirm things. Hopefully this negative review won't spoil my chances of that, but I have a couple of rules for reviews - and one of those is that a blow out by the SP automatically gets a negative review from me.

I get the negative but I do think if you book a few days before you should send a confirmation text. They probably have loads of people who flake who book when they are horny

I hear exactly what you're saying, and it's what I usually do, and always if the SP has requested it. In this case Sara didn't

I know it wouldn't have taken me any effort to send a quick message, but work was super busy especially with me cramming everything in to a shorter working day to make space for Sara - and with all that going on I just forgot. But likewise it wouldn't have taken too much effort for her to drop a quick 'are you still coming' message before binning me off?

Going forward that's what I'll do on every meeting. Indeed I've already done it today for a meeting tomorrow

You’ve just got to ensure everything is still ok on the day with that early morning confirmation message being sent.

You’ve said you were far too busy with other things and forgot to do so.
Same could be said for this SP 🤷🏼

I’m not having a go here. It’s up to fellow punters to read the review rather than just see the red flag and scroll past.
