Been shaving my balls for about 20 years and also trimming, shaved balls just feel much better and means you don't have pubes snagging in your undies every time you move or adjust yourself 

I would shave my whole pubic region apart from the fact that I go to the gym and the changing area is "All lads together" so you're basically going to be seen and IMO it would look out of place for a middle age guy to be shaven down there.
I do remember catching sight of another guy around 30 about 10 years ago who had obviously shaved everything but everyone else is hairy albeit perhaps trimmed but then again you don't really notice so long as there's some hair as I try not to look at anyone when i'm changing.

I use it to get a close shave, but it works great on other areas of the body too, and it doesn't nip anything.

Best to keep it simple, use a good, fresh, disposable every time.  I find gillette are good.  Lather up and shave in the shower remembering to stretch your sack.  Soon, you'll be comfortable shaving right up your crack leaving your butt hole clean.  Your farts will sound amazing and you could start auditioning for jazz trios.

This version didn't irritate me, I've only used it once.  But I was previously using a 10 year out of date tube that did cause some burns.  I think this one is safe and you can wipe it over your crack so it could attract more attention in that arena.
