Author Topic: Parlours vs Independents  (Read 1309 times)

I know this has been discussed in the past, but rather than dig up an old thread, I thought it would be better to start a fresh one.

I've only every seen independent ladies. Reading some past threads, it seems it used to be recommended for newbies to start with a massage, before moving onto to massage with HE and then into FS with an escort. Having skipped all that, I have no experience with parlours.

Manchester seems to be mentioned a lot in reviews, and just picking out GFE bury for example, their rates are £50/30 minutes for basic service, £65/30 minutes GFE, £100/45 minutes or £130/60 minutes. This seems a lot cheaper than the standard £160-£200 being asked by a large amount of girls for 1 hour. Even though the 30 minutes is only 'basic service', for £50 this seems like great value. Now I understand these are conveyor belt girls, but still, some I've seen are this style and much more expensive. Equally a £50 neutral is much better than a £200 neutral....

Some have said that independents offer better service, but then some reviews I've read seem to have also great service and experience at parlours as well. Is it horses for courses or is one better than the other? Perhaps I should visit a parlour one time just to see what it is like, but do you have a preference between the two?

PS - Ooh that was my 100th post :)

If we are taking “parlours” (as you give the example of GFE or Temptations) vs An Indie girl on AW then I think the biggest difference in experience is the venue.

Most indie girls will operate from their home, an Airbnb type place or hotel room which to a degree gives more discretion. It’s easier to come up with an excuse of “I was visiting a friend, looking for……, etc” if seen in the area. Plus a parlour gives the opportunity to see another punter in the waiting room or walking around etc.

The other difference is that with an indie you will normally get some comms with the girl prior to the booking to establish what you want etc. (unless done through an agency).

Other than that then I don’t see any real difference (or certainly not from a punter point of view). Yes a parlour will likely have a conveyor belt of customers for girls but many indies operate the same.

If you opt for the basic parlour service then you will get a basic experience. It’s likely that you won’t get any kissing, you would probably get a brief bit of OW and then onto a mechanical pump and dump. Many parlours/girls might also say you are only allowed 1 or 2 positions in a basic service.

Some indies also operate a basic plus extras pricing policy so again this maybe the same subject to the girl.

The short answer is yes, it's horses for courses - there is a fair amount of variability in both.

I like parlours because I tend to punt as a last minute decision, but my kinkiness (domme and T-girls) means planning ahead for indies also works for me.

I mostly use Manchester parlours when I'm looking for a spontaneous punt, and generally it ends up being cheaper, but you tend to need to spend £10/20 on extras for a good service, and there are parlours such as Boudoir Babes, where the girls take the piss and it ends up being more than an indie.

My current target list (mix of regulars and hot lists) is mixed about 50/50 between parlours and indies, with a slight skew to indies due to the T-girl thing.

At parlours you also build up a rapport with the receptionists who help, and see other girls in reception.

Tracy and Lauren on reception at Roses have been brilliant for me over the years, letting me know if a girl is suitable for me, and talking new ones through what I'm into so they're ready for me when I arrive.

Parlours are definitely better for 30 minute punts, but the girls you want will be specific days, whereas an indie can be available more frequently.

I'd recommend Roses, Temptations, The Lounge27, Abby at the Georgian, some times La Maison and Infinity.
I'd steer clear of Boudoir Babes.

Check the girls who are on for what you like.
e.g. I frequent a shity parlour in Leigh, purely because it's the only place I can see Martine.

The thing that puts me off parlour is the " dreaded knock" as you approach full time.

1) Don't be confused by society's euphemisms. These are brothels.  Calling them massage parlours, or parlours, is a dis-service to places that give you a nice massage.
2) Not every part of the UK has them.  Manchester and Edinburgh (where they call them saunas to add more confusion) are two such places.
3) It is bad advice to start with a massage anyway.  If you want sex, pay for sex. Simples.
4) I had some great evenings in Cosmopolitan in Manchester.  Perhaps a conveyor belt.  Who cares? They knew how to fuck. They are for sure a good alternative to booking an indy.  Sometimes you want wine.  Sometimes beer.  Maybe a gin & tonic. So sure, worth a go!  I would sometimes have sex in Cosmo, go to the casino for an hour or two, then back for more. The lady at reception was always extra friendly on my second visit.  Good times.
