Author Topic: Adultwork - Unable to send Emails  (Read 2778 times)

Offline Northerndave666

Hi, I use a VPN to access Adultwork and from last night noticed that I am unable to send new emails or reply to those previously received.

I get the following:

"The following problem(s) were detected:
Your message could not be sent."

Anyone else getting the same problem? Thanks in advance

I have heard AW members can now only send AW emails if they are age verified.

You could possibly in the first instance check the age verification tab to see if you're indeed age verified.

If it's not the below issue that @Strawberry mentioned of age verification, than I would suggest reaching out to AW directly through the AW 'contact' tab, 'member enquiries' and then 'please complete this form to get in touch' and submit a request.

I've always found the AW team to be on point and helpful when I've occasionally ran into any issues.

Hope this helps.

I have heard AW members can now only send AW emails if they are age verified.

It appears easy enough to get age verified if that's the case.

SPs can now disable emails, can SS do the same?

SPs can now disable emails, can SS do the same?

I've had a good look through my AW settings and email preferences.

I can turn off emailed notifications as in I will not get an email from AW to say that an SP has replied to me. I however don't believe that we can completely disable emails altogether, unless anyone can find something in the SS profile settings that I may have missed?

The screenshots you have posted seem to be options for the actual, external email notifications that are sent to your external email address - not settings for the AW within site 'emails'.
For SPs it's a button on the 'dashboard' page on the new version of the site, when I say 'new' I mean the one that has been in existence for 2 years or more. More of a general setting than notifications. I cannot so far find the option in the old 'Classic' version of the site (the version you have screenshot).

I don't use the newer version of AW as I find the classic website much better personally. Plus, the weblinks for m.adultwork are useless to SS members on here when submitting reviews (https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=457482.msg4476228#msg4476228). I've however just been onto the newer version to check through the settings on there.

Perhaps, the below screenshot may be the setting that you're referring to.

No it's not in notifications - notifications are about the external emails that are sent to the account holder as 'notification' of things that happen in their account, and or general contact from AW. Not about what happens in the internal AW member, to AW member email system.

What I am talking about is the ability to send or receive AW emails within AW.

This is what an SP sees on the 'dashboard'

Conversations

Manage your direct messages and emails

No unread messages
Go to messages
No new emails
Go to emails
Emails are enabled

There's a button next to each line, more specifically a on/off toggle button by 'emails are enabled'. This is within site conversations, not the email notifications.

Do you have anywhere you can see 'conversations' settings?

Thanks what's in 'account management'?

I would contact AW ask them why you cannot send AW emails.

Np, I've been through all of my account management settings.

I can send AW emails with no issues btw via the classic site.

It just appears that I can't access the "on/off toggle button by 'emails are enabled'" within conversations as you mentioned above.

They say there is no such thing as a stupid question so....I have sent many AW emails over the years, but never a DM. What is the difference  :unknown:

The DM facility is new, added earlier this year as a paid within site messaging feature, SPs do receive some of the credits.

Sounds like the button is not available for SS.

Yeah, it appears so.

I guess one or more of our other SS members may pick this up and mention otherwise if I've missed something

Thanks for the replies. I'm not age verified on AW as I'm not keen on sharing my personal info (or credit card info) with them. Shame if the ability for me to Email is gone :(

O I see, that’s why she not replying my mails, I had this experience, not responding to my mails

I think our members most secure and less intrusive option out of the three of them is through Adult Content - mobile number activation.

Trust me on this - Don't disregard the value of AW emails. Have a look through some of my reviews on here and see how I got meets with hard to reach SP's via AW emails, along with client connections enabled so the SP's can see my profile photos and my written bio etc.

If you have Adult Content enabled through your mobile ISP on your punting phone, simply navigate to my details - edit profile and input your punting phone number, then click 'save'. Then, if your mobile phone number is recognised by AW as you having "Adult Content" services enabled. AW will then txt you on that number to say that you're either age verified or not. That's how I got my AW account age verified.

I have heard the issue is being caused by age verification. This also coincides with AW rolling out changing all SPs to be age accurate on AW.

Disabling emails removes the option entirely, you cannot send an AW email to an SP who has turned the emails off. If she has turned AW emails off, you would not be able to type and send an AW email. The email option won't be there.

I have been able to reply to an email sent by a different AW member, so may be specific to one member. I did experience something similar almost one year ago, AW said it was an error, a settings at their end thing. At the time I was trying to send an AW email to a couple of members who had asked me to contact them if I toured their preferred location.

Strange one :unknown:

I've never experienced issues with emails on there.

I use the TextMe App, so unfortunately it won't 'age verify' like a normal number. I've just ordered a £1 a month Sky SIM for my punting phone, will get Adult Content enabled and then use the number to validate the AW check. Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated

I had this issue yesterday. Just wouldn't send to one particular member. I tried various ways- replying to them, a new email to their booking- but no success. Tried a test email to another girl and it worked. Sent a few emails today- all fine.

Strange.

Thanks I can reply to this particular member if I keep it very short, I have managed to send him a stunted reply, couple of lines in two separate emails invited him to text me (on my advertised number) for a better conversation, which hasn't been taken up so far. Tried another short reply, won't even let me send one word to him now! :unknown:

Perhaps if the un-verified cannot email then it figures you cannot email them as well.

Ok, new SIM installed, Age Verified with the Mobile Provider and accessed AW to get Age Verified. Replied to the Text.....still Age Not Verified on AW.

Does anyone know how long it take AW to update Status ?

Thanks in Advance,

Hi Dave,

Is it sorted now?

If not, did you raise a ticket through the AW 'contact' tab, 'member enquiries' and then 'please complete this form to get in touch'?

Unfortunately no. It should be something that is almost instantaneous. I've raised a query and been about 10 emails in otal so far. I even sent them a screenshot of my Mobile bill showing the 30p text charge to reply to their initial message. Last I heard on Friday was that it has been escalated to the Tech Team. Hopefully I'll hear more this week.
