This might seem like a stupid question to many of you vets.

I have a girl who is asking for an STD Test i have never done one and am pretty sure i am clean as havent gone bb in over a year.
Whats the easiest way to do it, can you order online rather than going to a clinic

Sorry :)

Easiest way is just to go into the clinic. Be honest with them about your hobby. You will get the right tests and it will be free.

Yes home testing kits are available. Maybe free maybe have to pay. It depends to a degree where you live.

There is a fairly recent thread here which may be of help https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=454476.msg4453494#msg4453494

You do need a slap on the wrist though. You should have been getting tested at least every 12 months possibly more frequently depending on your BB history?

I am curious why you are being asked by an SP to get tested?

Once again that depends on where you live. Many clinics no longer accept routine testing in person, without either symptoms or a history of high risk sexual activity  :hi:

Your reviews suggest you are London based, you can therefore go to the Sexual Health London (SHL) website, fill in a simple questionnaire and they will post a test kit to you.

Bugger… I had no idea some places didn’t offer in person testing. That’s a shame I think.

I use SH.uk

It’s nice and simple, and you can create a shareable link of your results (note that when using that link your name is included)

There is a wide range of NHS and private testing available in person or by post, and there will be a few threads on here with people’s experiences on them

It may depend on how timely you want results, on a routine basis SH works for me.  I usually have results the next day once they have received the samples, failing that it’s been the second day.
I can order a pack and get results in the same week

Just looked at this and it is not available in my area. I guess that is because there is still in person testing in my region.

It’s not a needle, it’s a spring loaded tiny blade that you press against the side of your finger and it makes an incision. Easy to use.

If you are in London you can collect test kits from these people in Dean Street.

I think Asda and Superdrug offer this when ordered online. It is delivered to their respective pharmacies for in person collection.
