I currently have a Vodafone pay as you go sim for my punting phone, & top up via voucher. Used to be £1 got you a day of text & calls, & It’s now gone up to £2 per day. Still good value I think as I only need 1 or 2 days a month when I’m actively sourcing a punt. And on that day I’ve no limits on what I send or call. Also, ideal as I can always use cash, so leave no real trail.

But I just thought I’d ask if any can suggest a better deal. Definitely not wanting a contract, etc.

Personally I use hushed and just delete the app when not in use. 9.99 a month for unlimited shit. Or 8.99 for a 30 day deal if you want to keep changing numbers

Thats their rip off rate! You can get a month of calls texts and IIRC 10 gig of data from round a tenner...

I have pay as you go on my O2 punting phone and its £10 a month with unlimited stuff.

My punting phone is on Tesco Mobile. It is a monthly pay but was £7 for the first 12 months
and now has gone up to £7.45 a month for the next 12 months. Good value in my opinion.

I use this for my punting phone - External Link/Members Only.

Not as cheap as the above, but the unlimited calls and txt's works well as I punt more some months than others, cancel anytime.

Used Tesco sim only for years and just top up voucher with cash in store when required.

If you are a low phone user take a look at External Link/Members Only.

     UK TEASER - data 750mb, calls 100 Mins, sms 100 £2 / 30 days.
UK TEASER LITE - data 2GB, calls Unltd, sms Unltd £3.50 / 30 days.

The host network is EE.

I use a gif-gaf PAYG sim in an old phone as my punting phone.

I get a voucher to top-up using cash at various local shops or supermarket.

All research is done through a VPN on my contract mobile, and my punting phone only used for texts/calls to arrange a punt.

No daily/weekly/monthly charges, just pay about 10p for a text and 20p a min for calls.

Ukhotdeals always has great offers for sim only deals.

For my personal phone I pay £0.99 a month on Lebara (runs on Vodafone network) get unlimited texts/mins and 50gb data. Have had zero issues.

Thanks for the info.

If I punt 1 day a month. As I generally arrange & book on the day. Basically I’m running at £2 a month, or at worse £4 if I punt twice. So my current plan appears ok compared to many paying around a tenner. Especially as I don’t want a contract.

External Link/Members Only  Its not advertised - only the larger packages are actively promoted.

I use this in eSIM form as an extra line I just turn off / on as required.  £2.90 / month gives 1 GB, 500 Minutes, 500 SMS.  It uses EE as the host network.

Any contract defeats the aim of having a punting phone.

This is the way. I also use PAYG giffgaff (no monthly contract) as an esim for texts and also with a second WhatsApp in Samsung SecureFolder. If I had a punting phone, I would go the O2 321 route.

I set up a hotspot from my normal phone and connect to it from my other phone. If the girls use WhatsApp then it's essentialy free.

Do top up occasionally to keep the SIM alive and for those girls who still rely on old fashioned texts!

02 classic sim card off ebay. you need to add £10 top up a year and use it every so often or they cut you off.
