External Link/Members Only   /  Divagirls

Just came across this site, supposedly in development as a replacement for Vivastreet.
Nothing useful on it at the moment, but the intentions seem to be there

First time you access the page you get a message "We will be closing Vivastreet in 2027" along with links to a registration page (and an annoying cartoon introduction)  followed by this popup message

The Crime and Policing Bill (Proposals for 2026-2027)

As of January 2026, the landscape for adult escort advertising is undergoing significant legislative transitions in the UK, with major regulatory shifts expected to fully consolidate by 2027.

1. The Crime and Policing Bill (Proposals for 2026-2027) A new Crime and Policing Bill was introduced in early 2025, proposing amendments that could fundamentally change escort advertising by 2027.
Targeting "Pimping Websites": Amendment NC1 specifically seeks to criminalize those who profit from the prostitution of others, both online and offline.
The "Nordic Model": Related amendments (NC2) propose criminalizing the purchase of sexual services while decriminalizing the sale.
Timeline: Any transition period for platforms to comply or shut down would likely extend into 2026 and 2027.

2. Online Safety Act Implementation (Enforced by 2026) The Online Safety Act 2023 reached full enforcement phases in 2025, with major impacts hitting the advertising sector by 2026–2027.
Illegal Content Duty: Since March 2025, platforms have a legal duty to proactively remove content that facilitates "controlling prostitution for gain".
Stricter Age Assurance: By 2026, Ofcom-regulated platforms must use "highly effective age assurance" to prevent minors from seeing adult-themed advertisements.
Pre-emptive Takedowns: Many advertising platforms are already pre-emptively deleting sex worker accounts and advertisements.

3. Scotland's Proposed Law Changes In Scotland, there is a push to adopt a similar "Nordic Model" to criminalize the purchase of sex.
The Prostitution Law Reform (Scotland) Bill: If passed, it would criminalize advertising and purchasing sex across Scotland.
Potential Deadlines: Because of the 2026 Scottish election, the bill must either pass by early 2026 or be reintroduced.

Summary of Current Advertising Legality (Pre-2027 Change)
Current Status: As of 2026, it remains legal in England and Wales for independent escorts to advertise on Adult Service Websites (ASWs).
Prohibited Activities: It is strictly illegal to advertise in public places or to run a brothel.
The 2027 Outlook: The legislative trend is moving toward criminalizing the platforms themselves rather than the individual independent escort.

I've no idea how close a link there is between Vivastreet and this new site. But this does highlight potential legislation changes that may affect us

Thanks scutty, I guess watch this space. Is it possible the line "We will be closing Vivastreet in 2027" is malicious advertising by a new entrant to get SP's to sign up with Diva?

Isnt this just an example of a website generated via AI from a website that was intended as divagirls, perhaps intended as a typo mistake hit by swapping out v for d .
Surely the info banner doesn't address how they would get around any of the amendments with the in development until 2027 just a ruse. Their suggestion of they will be closing vivastreet on valentines day 2027 could just be a phishing exercise to get advertisers to create ads to harvest information and there doesn't appear to be any link between the two sites.

Is the Nordic model really coming to the UK? It’s bad news for punters but worse news for SWs, who will lose a lot of vetting protections.

Quite possibly
I can see the people who run the Diva escort agency getting upset as well

I'm not convinced that the nordic model will get through parliament, but I can see the ban on "pimping websites" getting passed. Vivastreet and - to a lesser extent - Adultwork are firmly in the crosshairs of the authorities as easy targets.

A bill  to introduce the Nordic model recently failed in Scotland, however the intention is to reintroduce it in this New Parliamentary session.

A model which has failed but authoritarian deliberals don't care

The source code between DS and VS are completely different, in other words if DS was made by VS then it's a completely new rebuild made by a new team/ or it's nothing to do with VS.

The website divastreet.co.uk is not an official or corporate page for Vivastreet. The domain appears to be a third-party or potentially deceptive site, likely using a similar name to impersonate or piggyback on the Vivastreet brand.

There has been no official corporate announcement from Vivastreet regarding a closure in 2027. Claims found on unofficial sites like that one should be treated as unreliable or fraudulent.
