It really does show the gulf between the Championship and the Premier league. Last season we pissed the Championship by 11 points, top goal scorers and fewest goals conceeded. Leeds and Sunderland proved last season it's posdible to stay up if you invest in the team wisely. Unfortunately Coventry haven't. We are going to struggle to beat Derby County's all time low of 11 ponts. Maybe getting relegated and bouncing back stronger like Ipswich have is the way to go. Whether or not Lampard will still be in charge is another question 
Another thing is Coventry are a single owner club not a consortium so £120 million is a hell of a lot of money for a club like Coventry to spend. We have a team full of players with none or little Premier league experience but our signings are exactly the same.

You need a couple of players with PL experience to give yourselves even a fighting chance at staying up.

The likes of Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth have a fantastic business model, they unearth potential gems play them for a couple of seasons before selling them at huge profit. Without external investment Coventry need to follow a similar model, although it may already be too late to save this season.
