It's been rumoured that we are looking at Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Marseille, he's 31 but the plan is to add experience to the midfield to bring the youngers ones on.

Araujo is a great signing for Liverpool, a massive upgrade on Konate who is, in my opinion, massively overrated. Now they just need a long term replacement for VVD, he seemed to be struggling at times last season.

PEH doesn't mind getting stuck in & collects cards he must have some footy top trumps collection
That he's Denmark & Marseille captain says it all
In the middle of the pitch more longevity than up front so that he's 31 face bothered
As a CDM he can also play in the back line if needed injuries to other players etc & he's 6'1" 6'2" so big enough
How good a player he is can be gauged by the transfer value if he was late 20s rather than early 30s, double it

VVD was struggling for most of the season.
His experience and anticipation can only go some way to make up for his drop off in pace.
It will be a test for Iralola as VVD has a lot of influence and prestige as club captain.

Most people misunderstand Newcastle supporters, we're eternal optimists. The "We don't demand a team that wins, we demand a club that tries" banner from a few years ago says it all. The club are trying now, not everything's worked but we do have one hand tied behind our backs as far as finance is concerned.

We are looking to sign another 3 maybe 4 more players so if we get some experience in along with the young ones we already have it's something to look forward to.

Going up Leeds spent £100m though they had the strongest most expensively assembled highest paid squad in the Championship [+ secured Dominic CL on a free]
They had some good results towards the end on the season including the 1st win @ TTONM since about 1853
Utd kindly gave Leeds 4 points with the reverse fixture 1st half of the season Amorim in his last game in charge a gift they were utter shite
Had the fixture list meant the match a week later there would have been the new manager bounce
Small margins & things could have gone very differently 
At least the higher ups are not making the same mistakes as last time they went up somehow stayed up & then didn't spend anything = doomed
This summer spends Trafford £40-45m / centre half £34m & Harry Wilson on a free [£25m] so around £100m overall
2nd season syndrome  need to get various players who wont get much if any game time off the wage bill with another couple of quality additions

That Leeds even linked with Rafael Leao positive tho with whopping wages no chance
Turkey the likely destination the clubs there pay high wages
& there's a different tax environment reserved only for footy players 15%-20% c.f. 40%-50% rest of europe

You beat me to it webbie  I don't think this is the end of our spending , still being linked with various players so I imagine that will take our spending to about £100 million. This is unheard of for a club like Coventry. I just hope we are keeping within the financial fair play regulations and don't incure a points deduction during the season. We certainly seem to spending more than Ipswich and Hull City

I think you underestimate the temptations and stupidity of footballers

Career completely ruined similar in a way to Grealish who fell out of favour because he was a party boy and cost 100m. Trafford was another example of his career being put on hold at City.
