Are you travelling in through Bali or Jakarta?

I'd recommend finding yourself a 25-30yo local that you get along with well - she can provide tour guide assistance - and the rest. As long as you put the work in upfront, you get an amazing experience, no tourist rates, and a new BFF.

you will pay tourist rates no matter what, I have been going there for over 25 years. Last episode, went into a shop to buy something with a local girl with benefits, as I went out she went back into the shop to collect the commission, especially in Bali.

Hmm - I guess it depends! 
A LwB I know who used to work at the Bvlgari in Uluwatu, got us into a Cliff Edge Villa there for 500 USD a night - around 75% off the standard rate.

I lucked out with an MBA student, based in Jakarta but who travels a lot in Asia, Middle East and Europe for work supporting cosmetic/perfume launches and so on.

We’ve met up all over for the last three years - best investment I ever made was subbing into seeking for those few months.

Yeah, I've been over that way. As people have said, Bali is probably where you'd have better luck punting wise. Bear in mind Lombok is a muslim island (vs hindu in Bali), so more conservative, many more hijabs, alcohol more expensive etc

I wouldn't bother with the Gilis (Air, Meno, T) - in order, they are quiet, hyper-quiet, western-party. Lot of social stigma in terms of offering services, so not likely to be much there apart from maybe Gili T.

I spent some time in Senggigi (lovely coastline), dipped into Mataram. I think Mataram is probably a good base if you were looking to see what the options were, though accommodation is pretty grim

I was mongering more than punting - getting decent results on Badoo (paid for premium). Lovely 21YO I took to Nusa Lembongan - covered her travel and a bit for "loss of earnings" at the cafe she was working in. Very sweet girl, fun in bed. Another effort was a bit of a disaster, she gave out very forward signals but was too innocent to back them up - hadn't even kissed anyone until me, so I didn't push things further.

I think you'll find the market a lot more limited than Bali, but with some gems if you're mongering and have the patience - my cute 21YO is still a little attached, and I could probably re-visit if I was passing through - they're happy to be shown a good time and get away from the grind... just be culturally respectful, particularly with PDA etc

Overall - I'd imagine it's not great for punting, but it's IMO the island is much nicer than Bali - cleaner, quieter, cheaper, nice beaches, no hoards of Legian Aussies.

As a general point, I got better results on Badoo than on Tinder... I'd say there's more punting options on Tinder though.
