Steve, scutty; I agree that in the majority of cases it is a label they use to justify extra ££ for a sensual massage. However there is one practitioner I used to see who did genuine tantra, and that was both different and excellent.
Her name was Cleo (AW Northants Tantric), sadly retired at lockdown. I saw her regularly for 10 years, probably ~50 visits. In addition to the massage and teasing she did all sorts of activities whilst blindfolded to stimulate all the senses - smell, taste, sound and touch. Most importantly strong breathing exercises which she taught me to use to control ejaculation. Only towards the end of the 90 minute massage would she remove the blindfold and say ok to let it go now, giving me a titwank finish.
Although by the end she was in her late 60's, she was very attractive and had huge natural tits. I have never found anyone to match her for edging and overall performance. Now like you when I read tantra I know it will be a comparative letdown.
