Wasn't great experience for me
A did a very detailed itemised trip across China.
Started with Beijing only tried a bit there as was jet lagged. Nothing I could find really with prostitution as I understand it being illegal in China, swiped on Tinder but no hits.
Nothing while travelling through Guyan and Xian, not many connections in range on Tinder so again not many hits. Read on here that you can get extras in massage places so got a full body massage in Xian but nothing was offered.
Last stop was Shanghai, nothing really around when looking. Went to the hotel massage but it seemed above board and not a great looking masseuse so didn't go further.
I tried the links posted by Contrapuntist (

So I went on Tinder and started to get white a few matches quickly to my surprise with decent looking profiles. First I thought this is strange don't normally get so much in China and so quickly, then thought happy days. Tried to line some up and was quite straight forward, looking for fun etc as only here 3 days no point wasting time. First day tried to keep the conversation going with the few that connected, one girl I had a bit of rapport with who was after something long term says to me you're looking for trouble. I said what do you mean. She said on this platform looking for what you're looking for. I thought strange because she's on the same platform.
Anyway carried on but couple wanted me to come to their apartment and weren't keen coming to my hotel. I said same thing just come here and they wouldn't have it. No way I was going to a random apartment in random part of Shanghai.
Also you had quite a few who just wanted to be treated, dinner, drinks etc. Which might be fine if you have the time, get some company while having a meal etc Conversation might not be engaging as very few speak English or English is more basic so will have to use the translator quite a bit and may or may not get something in the end. Honestly I think it is just a way of getting pampered and likely giving you nothing back, as they wanted a date dinner, drinks, partying etc
Anyway I then got 2 who said that I could meet them in the lobby of their aparthotel as they are there working etc get couple of drinks and if we hit it off could be something more and we could move upstairs. I though this sounds much better so I said ok. This was at 12am and I was trying to choose between the 2 and work out their chinese addresses and how far they are etc which was taking me a short while. Then one of the girls said I’ll send you a taxi. I was like she’s keen, yes let’s do it. She was asking me my hotel details and room number for taxi in conversation but I don’t know why I told her the holiday inn 7 mins down the road and gave her no room number and told her i’m just getting a bit to eat and told her to send the taxi to the eatery 2 doors down. It was a Bar and Grill. She questioned me a couple of times and claimed she couldn’t find the bar to send tax etc which took another 15 mins. I sent her a web link to the bar. The other one was messaging me so I told her give me 30 mins , I figured taxi will be here and I can be there and assess the situation if odd I can leave and go to her. Anyway I’m obviously thinking with my pants.
Taxi arrives and I get in and start driving to her location and then I start thinking what am I doing as this drive is taking a bit long or maybe it’s my spidey senses kicking in. Taxi driver doesn’t speak English and I couldn't question him when i tried. Then I thought let me check on the other girl in Tinder, and i’ve been signed out. I’m thinking how did that happen ? It’s asking me to sign in again but I can’t as I don’t have my UK sim to verify my account. I thought this is very odd how is that possible, so now i’m locked out of Tinder so no way for backup option etc or to contact the one i’m meeting (Later i’m thinking is there a way the girl did this by reporting account etc).
Anyway I arrive at the hotel and the girl is sitting in the lobby all ready and walks out towards me so I know it is her. She looks like the pics i saw but older and they have a habit of airbrushing pics with apps in Asia. So i figured it’s kind of ok so far, I hug her. She makes a comment about my shirt and says ‘Tommy nice’ i thought odd and she grabs my hand and starts walking me to a bar. I said I thought we were doing your hotel lobby bar, she said it closed now. It was 1 am now and I thought maybe it is now.
Anyway she knows where she is going and we walk about 5 mins to what looks like a bar. It is black and we walk in past a guy at the door. I take a quick look and there is about 3 partitioned cubicles / tables at the front and she is trying to take me upstairs to a closed room with a door. I’m like what is going on here so I said can we just sit on the front ones here. So she said ok and took me to the one in the corner next to the wall. It’s kind of clear she’s been to this place before. We do small talk and she confirms my hotel again I said Holiday inn at Nanjing do you know it ? She said yes 4 star my one is 3 star. She messages someone on her chat app which I noticed.
A girl comes to take the order and she starts ordering in chinese, I told her i’ll just have a coke and you can get what you want to drink. Anyway I noticed her look at my expensive watch and she did this at least twice quite visibly. The order arrives and I noticed she has ordered 2 drinks for her (Glasses of Wine) and my coke as well as a large fruit bowl. I’m thinking it would of been normal to ask me if she can order food and what else might be coming. Then she asks me am I not wearing any jewellery ? which I thought was odd, maybe one of my Tinder pics had some jewellery on. I said No didn’t bring any, conversation is limited as she is chinese and then she messages again on her chat app. I thought this isn’t adding up and I’m not sure I like this. I said i’m going to go out and make a quick phone call.
She got up with me and said why, we are enjoying ourselves. I said it’s ok I just need to make a quick phone call and i’ll be back 2 mins. She doesn’t want me to go, I start walking out the partitioned cubicle and startle the serving girl. As luck would have it the guy at the door (security ?) was behind the counter getting something at that exact moment. My adrenaline kicked in and I just quickly walked outside with the girl following me and making a scene. I said go back in and I will be in give me 2 mins. She started to say no you won’t I know what you are doing, you are calling a taxi. She said you have to pay for all of this and the security guy comes out and starts looking around. She is telling him in chinese to help i think but for some reason he is either looking around for support or not keen as i’m outside.
The girl starts saying she is going to follow me and that she knows where i’m staying - hotel Holiday Inn and everything. I said that is fine. The girl pops inside as her bag and phone and everything is in there, I start walking the girl is cursing me ‘ you will die a horrible death etc’. I notice a guy who starts walking behind me on the phone. I also saw a second guy on the otherside. So I started running and cross the road and see him pick up pace. I must of run maybe only 6 mins and saw 2 guys in yellow high vis across the road standing against a car. I cross the road to be with them and as luck turns out they are traffic police ticketing a guy in a car. They see me flustered and wondering what i’m doing. I didn’t say anything as they don’t speak english. I just cancelled my first cab going to the bar and order another one. I saw the guy following me walk straight past on the other side still on the phone looking at me as he walks past now that he has seen the police just keeps going. It’s 1.30am streets are dead in this area and I didn’t move from these 2 policeman who looked at my phone and figured he is waiting for a cab. Taxi arrives and I shoot back to my hotel. So many thoughts rushing through my head. I’m so glad I gave that girl misinformation about where I'm staying etc
Not sure what would have happened to be honest, maybe got fleeced with a big bill and forced to pay and use my watch etc to make payment if i couldn’t or just get robbed.
It was my last night and I slept with one eye open to be honest just in case taxi was followed etc.
Anyway I would much rather get a nice call out service at a fixed price had those links worked. I get the impression there is alot of scamming on tinder, girl either wants to be wined and dined or you get fleeced when you think with your pants. Maybe the 1st girl who said ‘you’re looking for trouble’ was trying to tell me something. Also somehow that girl got me signed out of my own tinder, so maybe i couldn't show her pics to police or something while there ? they know most tourists don't have their own sim to verify ? who knows.
Anyway if this info helps anyone be extra careful then i did my job
