Khao Lak

Hi,
I'm off to Khao Lak mid march with my Mrs.
She is happy to sit by the pool most days and I like a good walk to break the monotony, does anyone have any suggestions for a quick 30 minute punt in this area, staying at the merlin beach resort.

I was in Khao Lak 3 years ago.  Options were limited then to 2 places if I remember correctly.  I ended up one evening in the Violet Bar in Khao Lak and enjoyed a ST with a very nice young Thai girl that was in the bar.  Can’t remember the price but that will be irrelevant now after all this time.  They used a ST hotel over the road.

I don’t think there are any options for day time fun unless you head to Patong.  ThaiFriendly looks not to be an option.  Your best bet for day time fun might be massage shops with the chance of extras but I’ve no info about those.

Very much a family place so not a big scene and given you are limited to walking-time I’d suggest the massage shops will be your best target. Not to say you won’t find a hidden gem but most of the top notch girls will be down in Patong for obvious reasons. Enjoy - beautiful area.
