Evening,

Anyone got any recommendations for hotels, on the cheaper yet respectable side, that I could use for arranging some outcall punts?

There is no such thing as cheap hotels in London now that are worth staying at.

To get the price down a little you can do one of two things, either book a hotel room for a sunday night (which is normally the cheapest night) or you can book hotel for the day rather than the night at websites such as dayuse.

Cheaper (than average) options for a hotel room for one night can be:

Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge
Travellodge Romford - You can actually get a room for £30 on a quiet night.
NYX Holbon - although not cheap, it can be a good hotel to stay at.

Try some of the discounted room search engines, but nothing is ever very cheap in London.

Strand Palace Hotel usually comes up as the cheapest sensible hotel that’s central. Never used it myself though.

£98 starting price if you go for one night on a Sunday. Most nights are around £180-£200 per a night.

Been there sevral times, since the Regent Palace closed (which used to be relaxed about SP/punter goings on. They had a lot of security, but they knew the score and could be helpful!

Anyway, the Strand Palace is a tourist hotel. In the summer I've seen Americans and SE Asian tourists almost come to blows at breakfast!

At first I went for the cheapest room, but it was a single bed, along a wall, which was a problem with a visiting massage burd.

It might be different now.

Some Premier Inn and Travelodges in the London area are heavily used by SPs. One near Heathrow was absolutely notorious for it.

are there many hotels in central London that don't use keycards for the lifts. I spoke to a SP in Cambridge who says she wants to make a tour to central london but is not sure what hotel would be good to use. maybe there's an SP equivalent of ukpunting that can give advice on this

I would advice her to start with the St Giles hotel.  It's 3 star, so not really expensive, no key cards for lifts. It's large with about 700 rooms, bar and cafe, rather anonymous and very busy.

It's as central as you can get, at the intersection of Oxford Street, Tottenham Court Road, Charring Cross Road.

Tottenham Court Road Tube Station is a few yards away.

If you need help finding it, it's almost next door to the Dominion Theatre.

Late check in and late check out is fine, but arrange first, and there is an extra charge.

It's popular with SPs/Massage Burds/Punters...

Not sure if its still the same, but the Leonardo hotel chains in City of London and Tower Bridge used to be cardless. I can confirm Tower Bridge late last year still was.

Nice rooms, maybe a bit more (but not over £200) but if its a place you are staying at, its nicer than some others.

I don't think NYX holbon uses keycards. I would give them a call to make sure but I have stayed at that hotel in the pass and I don't remember having to use a keycard to get to my room.

Rooms can be as Low as £80 per night if you book in advance and go on a Sunday there. I don't think that is a bad price for a Central London location. 
Although it is still not a cheap price.
