Following on from my Osaka adventure, I visited Ikebukuro in Tokyo, specifically its foreigner-friendly soapland called Marine Blue Annex. You definitely can't miss it. The exterior is bright, loud and garish. Not even remotely subtle as to what's inside, which kinda turned me on with how brazen it is! Still, even with that added, it was a bargain. Interestingly, pricing varies depending on the time of day. I went fairly early, so a 40-minute full service session came to 14,000 yen all in - less than £70. For what you’re getting, that’s ridiculously cheap compared to the UK. You wouldn’t get close to that price back home for full service with a cute girl.

You choose from a printed menu of girls. He only showed me a small selection, which I assume were either the ones happy to see foreigners or the ones about to become available. More than enough for 3 weeks, £ to Yen is strong, everything there is cheap from travel to food. Except maybe the punting, that seems to be still around the same cost, maybe a bit more in some cases.
