It's open to manipulation like any online voting scheme. Some people possibly buy votes, others get their followers to vote for them. It doesn't necessarily mean that they provide the best service. It just means that they got the most votes through whatever means possible.

As far as I am aware the awards cannot be purchased, they are based on votes made on the SPs profile and SPs can also opt out of the competition.

I think you are right Davie. I think there has been a discussion a few years ago on here about this. I can't remember who won (paid for), the 'title', but i do remember that she was white, slim, mid 20's, and English. And the general consensus on here was that she wasn't a very good SP. In fact, i think i have seen her (before joining here),  in a room on a motorway services. It was the only time i didn't get to have sex, as she said i had ran out of time.

As long as the award doesn't give them an inflated sense of worth.

There was a lass a couple of years ago in Glasgow who won first prize (was going to type came first but that could be misinterpreted)  She was a great punt and I saw her more than once.

As a result of her 'status' she stopped seeing her regulars, doubled her prices, re-invented herself as a domme and then vanished from the scene altogether.

If she hadn't have won, I'd have had a few more punts with her.
