Author Topic: Sex Orgasm Headache  (Read 3510 times)

After reading the sex injury thread, i thought id start a new one on the subject of orgasm headaches , and wondered if there were many of us who have experienced one.

my story: probably about 10 yrs ago , i had the pleasure of booking a whore called Phoenix, who at that time was a independent working out of Redditch.

Blonde, big heavy tits, nice rounded ass , flat tummy, perfect for me. Anyway, long story short, usual beginnings, but she was totally up for stuff i hadn't tried,
Ankle spreader bars on her, pussy pump, this was something else, pussy was pumped within a few minutes, massive lips , fabulous, fun we had, rubber on , she rode me cowgirl , at each near cum, she'd stop , release me and squeeze my cock, i guess a form of edging with her pussy. After about 5 of these almost cums, she kept going and gave me a massive cum with me grunting loudly as i filled the bag, I then had the worst headache imaginable , all across my forehead and down either side of my head , it was so bad i couldn't even move, i thought omg i'm having a stroke! , meanwhile shes cleaning me up, whilst i'm lay there unable to do anything due to the headache, She was very concerned, but eventually after about 10mins the pain subsided, enough for me to dress and drive home, how i managed to drive home i don't know, I took 3 paracetamol, which made no difference, this bad headache lasted about 3 hours but i could still feel slight pain for a few days. Eventually got in to see the GP , which with my bad luck was a female doctor, I thought i'm going to have to tell her about this and the circumstances, (leaving out the kinky stuff) and she advised that often especially sex with a new partner , a man becomes so aroused that tension builds up in the neck muscles and spine, causing a "orgasm headache" it may happen again or you may never have one again. but if i was to have one again , i'm to go back and be referred for a head scan. It did happen once more with the same whore , again a very enjoyable session, until the headache. I stopped seeing her as the severe headache wasn't worth the experience, and have only had one other headache with another whore in the last 10 years. But never with a civvie

I wondered if anyone else had experienced a sex headache at climax.
thanks guys for any of your input.

Yes, **orgasm headaches**, also known as **sexual headaches**, can occur in men. These headaches are typically triggered by sexual arousal and can happen before, during, or after orgasm. They may be described as a sudden, severe headache that feels like a tension headache or a migraine.

### Types of Orgasm Headaches

1. **Pre-orgasmic Headaches**: These occur during sexual arousal and may intensify as excitement builds.

2. **Post-orgasmic Headaches**: These develop right after orgasm and can last from a few minutes to several hours.

### Symptoms

- Sudden onset of severe pain
- Pulsating or throbbing sensations
- Pain typically located at the back of the head or neck

### Causes

The exact cause isn't entirely understood, but it's believed that increased blood flow and muscle tension during sexual activity contribute to these headaches. Other factors, such as dehydration or stress, may also play a role.

### When to Seek Help

If these headaches become frequent or severe, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional. While usually not serious, they can sometimes indicate underlying issues, such as high blood pressure or vascular problems.

I remember having one during a punt maybe 8 or 9 years ago. It was a particularly energetic session with a regular, I stood up to give her a facial and the pain was really sharp and intense when finishing. I didn't know what it was but the WG had encountered them before .. The pain mostly died down after a few minutes and thankfully it was an outcall to mine so I didn't have to travel home. In the weeks after I used to feel a similar pain when trying to masturbate, but after a while it stopped happening and never had a similar headache since :unknown:

have to agree with Alabama , 2 or 3 headaches in 10 yrs isnt really a cause to give up sex for health reasons. .

I’ve had a blinding headache to get out of having sex. But that’s a different story.

To answer runner in the woods question -

I don't think I have experience a orgasm headache, If I have done it surely could not have been bad as I don't remember any.  :unknown:

It may be more to do with lack of hydration (ie - drink more water) than a orgasm causing it. Then again, you do loose fluids when you orgasm and you can loose energy which may also mean you need to drink more  :unknown:

Maybe to help, take a paracetamol just before a punt to stop you having these headaches if they are becoming a problem for you.  :unknown:

I had a solid run of these during punts a few years back, though nothing recent.

The first time was the worst as I didn't know what was going on and was really enjoying the punt. The SP was also put on edge, thinking she'd done something wrong or I wasn't happy with her, which was far from the truth.

Perhaps take a couple of paracetamol an hour before the punt might help  :unknown:

Online FiveKnuckles

Could be age, stress or other factors.

You should definitely see your doctor and have your blood pressure, plus full blood test done.
I use to have severe headaches at the back of my head, post punt.  My BP is now controlled and not had any migraines since.  There's 'stroke risk' so DO NOT ignore it!!

I thought sex was supposed to help with headaches, I tried this suggestion with the other half when she had a headache, I never got any practical proof though ...

Well, I’ve just experienced a couple of these headaches in the last week. I was planning on a punt in Sheffield but I’m going to have to cancel that as the last thing I want is a mad headache mid punt and ££s spent too.

I’m hoping a couple of trips to the doctor will help figure out what it is and some meds to help control it.

Fml. What a time for this to occur?!

Offline runner in the woods

Are the orgasm headaches which occur immediately on the point of ejaculation?

Offline BeingSilent

Crazy headache as I get hard. I’ve only managed to ejaculate once and it was an extremely painful experience (headache). Started to get better after a little while and then felt groggy for a bit.

I’m getting my BP checked (24hr monitor). Theory is that my BP is on the higher side. But this is all sudden which is why it’s baffling.

In my case it was the build up to. Pain I've never experienced before and afterwards I struggled to shower, put clothes on and walk home. You're being tugged and playing with a gorgeous pair and that happens  :dash:

Thankfully mine hasn’t rendered me useless (although I’m sure people in my life already think that’s a low bar to straddle?!).

What I have noticed is the dull pain for a few hours after. It’s usually around my forehead and then over the top of my head (when it’s most intense).

How long did you have these headaches for and did they just resolve themselves or was there a change in your health/lifestyle?

Kept getting them to the point of going to GP, at urging of OH as some inevitably happened the times I gave her one (she even claimed it was "ruining [her] sex life"!). He just said it might go away and wasn't enough of an issue yet to merit anything. And they did go away.

Offline happyladdy

Oh man, yh these fuckers.

Had my first one at about 27. Felt like someone had smashed me on the back of the head with a hammer, then lasted about 20 minutes. Couldn't move, couldn't see, couldn't do anything. Just laid in a ball on the floor holding my head.

Took myself to hospital after because I'd never experienced anything like it, but basically yh they just said it was an exertion headache.

I now go through random episodes maybe once every few years. Once I have one, I'll have several for a few weeks, and they come on so so quickly as you approach orgasm that they are almost impossible to stave off when they happen. Then they'll just go away; I haven't had one for a couple of years now.

What I find did help immensely is breathing. I read that it can be brought on by a build-up of pressure, particularly where you are in heavy exertion and holding your breath. I found focusing on breathing steadily and regularly really helped- takes you out of the moment at times, but better than having one of these nasty nasty things.

Online Stevelondon

Let’s face it. If something like this gets to the point where it is happening a lot. Then you’d be daft not to be seeking medical advice.

Personally I’d be looking for help if I was saying things like ‘Whore’ and ‘ Which with my bad luck was a female doctor’

 :D

We're in the UK mate.

NHS advice is "Yh, what can you do, eh?"

Source: Basically what they said to me.

Offline Massage Bloke

happyladdy might be onto something, if he says breathing steadily really helps.

Perhaps with the intense exertion, when possibly you're not breathing enough, you muscles/body are not getting enough oxygen, and then there is the sudden release of orgasm.

I'm no doctor! But on the other hand, the doctors seem to have little clue of the exact cause.

"Sex headache can mimic other life-threatening neurological disorders, especially brain haemorrhage, therefore often needs to be investigated with a scan and other tests the first time it occurs. In some situations, even a second or third sex headache may need urgent investigation.

Dangerous causes for headache are a bit more likely if the headache has occurred at the moment of orgasm.

When sex headache occurs on a more frequent or predictable basis, there is no need for further investigation, and it is entirely harmless.

The vast majority of sex headaches are of this harmless (or benign) type.

Treatment:

Whilst sex headache is nearly always benign, they can cause significant physical and psychological stress.  If the headaches last longer than half an hour, the patient may benefit from a tablet.  Indometacin is the most common medication used.  If the headaches are happening very frequently, the patient may benefit from a tablet to prevent them.  Beta-blockers, for example Propanolol, are sometimes used for this purpose.

These headaches usually go away spontaneously after weeks or months, but may recur years later."

My sleeping values were in range and ok. But during the day they were jumping to 155/90 (ish). They fluctuated but the lower number rarely came down below 80 in the day of testing.

I’ve been prescribed Amlodipine 2.5mg. A tiny dose as I wanted to start low in the hope to get off the meds.

Amlodpine a a good old stable drug that normally works well, sometimes its paired with Candesarten for greater effect. Presume you are shall i guess over forty and in most men BP rises with age but at least your getting treated for the issue!..

These numbers look quite high the lower number, distolic, is the more important measure.

Hope it comes down but do expect this treatment to be long duration!. Its not normally cured overnight!

Good guess on the age.  Numbers were high but with a little bit of mindfulness, exercise and meds, I expect those numbers to come down into a normal range.  I was speaking to a friend and he helped reassure me that this isn't a problem and that catching it early is the key.  Irony is that 6 months ago, my numbers were all in normal range.  So the sudden change threw me.

The worry didn't help the numbers but accepting the situation does make a difference.

I was tested for high BP about 8 years ago when suffering from work related stress, it was high and the Doc told me that in younger people the diastolic reading being high was often a sign of too much salt in the diet.

While I don't add salt to anything it is hidden in most and in fact probably all pre packed / processed food however I was comfort eating a shit load of junk / snacks like crisps and peanuts etc

Anyway back the the original question and yes I did go through a phase where I had a sudden onset of a headache at the point of orgasm, can't remember exactly when it was but could well have been timed with the high BP

I first experienced these headaches as a young teen when masturbating. The pain is so instant and intense, it can be frightening. I can remember having these several times over 30 years and found lots of contradictory posts online about it. The longest an episode has lasted is about 5 days. Feel fine but upon ejaculating it feels literally like I've had a baseball bat strike the back of my head.
