The Malaysia (Bahrain) GP not being a night race/quali is so annoying! 9am quali and 8am race!  :dash:

I don't honestly see the point of night races , racing under floodlights doesn't make the race better imo  :unknown:

They thought it would. Singapore has had a few exciting races tbh in its time. 2017 comes to mind. Its the track. Night time at silverstone would be epic. Ovs dangerous for fia to consider

Are they arranged to suit European TV schedules?

Are they arranged to suit European TV schedules?

Probably ,  but we have the Australian GP run in daylight with a big time difference between Australia and Europe  :unknown:

No. F1 is done to suit the local time of the country. Its usually 2pm or 3pm local time. Its to allow enough time for daylight to still be around in case of long red flags. Also logistics. It just so hapoens europe still falls at a suitable time. Only bad races to watch in uk are australia ovs and china japan. Super early they are. 8am for malyasia ok

I just love the aesthetics of the night race as a viewer.  :unknown:

I normally love getting some lunch and a coffee to sit down and watch Ferrari shit the bed every weekend  :dash: to wake up at around 7am and watch “Ferrari strategy” on Sunday is just not appealing!

Yes true, and all Grand Prix races have to finish within a two hour time limit ( 2 hour time limit of actual racing) not including delays for stopped races.

Monaco would be amazing.
The only decent night race action wise is vegas. Good layout

Monaco would be great but you’re just asking for multiple red flags with how tight the circuit is. But imagine the tunnel at night

Instead next year we are getting sprint in Monaco.. might be worse than watching paint dry but money talks..  :dash:

At least the sprint race will only be a dull short race on what is F1's dullest circuit with very little overtaking opportunities just like the recent Madrid circuit   :dash:

Aston Martin have resigned Alonso and Stroll for the 2027 season. Fuck me Stroll leads a charmed life. His daddy must have deep pockets.

I mean his daddy bought the team so he'd have a drive so not really a surprise

The fact that these two even want to still drive for Aston after all those vibrations they took at the start of the season is crazy! Literally was using their car in the race for data!  :dash:

Stroll is beyond useless
Not only useless a danger on track
I would love to know what the pit lane chatter is
Nepotism not much
Stroll is often getting a strop on post race, bless
He doesn't seem into it
99%+ of drivers strive for success & he's there looking like its an inconvenience
I'm thinking that Alonso must be close to giving up when it comes to mentoring the the happless boy blunder
Then he remembers that its £15m + bonuses p.a.
He's still at it great driver  :hi:
A difficult one for Aston to replace Alonso should Stroll still have a seat
A young up & coming driver wont join them as its not merit based @ Aston
Not the first time an overweight orange bloke has the capacity to fuck things right royally

He drives worse than a [somewhat nervous] rookie in his first year in F1
The difference is that he's had millions spent on him in driver training over so many years
His dad bought an F2 or F3 race team for him & i'm pretty sure he bought or rented a track for him to practice on
& he's still rubbish
I'd like to think that given the same training from when young i'd be somewhere approaching him he's had years at it
His problem is that tango man is living his son's driving life vicariously

Contrast all these advantages that Stroll has bestowed upon him to LH [Sir]
LH's dad worked three jobs to afford to pay for his son to do go-karting
They rock up with a kart on a trailer behind some cheap car & stay in a tent by the circuit
Other kids have their parents financing a full on race team [@golando par example & various other drivers *] motor homes the works
Team LH on the other hand cobble together a kart using stuff like used tyres discarded by other drivers
& who is the 8 time world champion driver ?

Tango man is reminding me of JR @ TTONM

* excluded are MV, Sainz & Antonelli, they followed in their father's footsteps

Oh that first lap as long as Lewis gets a good start is going to be epic! Did you see Lewis POV with Maxs ghost for quali today? It’s crazy how far max is ahead at sometimes but Lewis late breaking is exceptional!

Ferrari weak engine will just make a overtake on the straight a breeze for Max and Kimi prob. Max made all his time on the 2 long straights

Well observed :hi:
Dani Ricc the king of the late brakers
Probably even better than LH
The newer drivers have to do the run offs
@golando has this in his locker

Yeah that’s what I fear.. all the corner work undone by 2 long straights. The only thing that could help them is how they set up the energy harvesting throughout the track to help with straights.

Will also be interesting to see the tire set up for Lewis at the start of the race. He’s been going with softs recently and they haven’t been working in his favour.

Its can be difficult soft at the start
I can only presume the same in F1, not what you were expecting
Generally speaking i'd go for a medium
Then switch to hard
Switching to hard you can then feel the [tyres] 'come in'  :yahoo:
Then its about going for it but at the same time managing the tyres to make sure that you can get it over the line before things start to fade ...

Daniel was an absolute madman when it came to late breaking.. his famous turn 1 Baku was pure genius though!

There are so many innuendos
Cars needing to lay down some rubber
The list is endless
You won't speak about it however it may just briefly enter you brain like a freudian slip  :D
I'm signing off its an 8am start only just realised
