Author Topic: Do you bring your own toiletries..?  (Read 3474 times)

Offline APXcl

Howdy all, sorry if this comes across as a silly subject but I was curious if any of you bring your own toiletries to a punt?

I'm a bit of a germaphobe (ironic I know...) but a lot of the times I don't really feel comfortable using the communal mouthwash and soap that may or may not be provided at a punt. I've been getting in the habit of bringing a small toiletry kit with me now, all travel size stuff and fits nicely into a coat pocket that has the expected things like;

- Deodorant
- Face wash
- Moisturiser
- Mouthwash
- Tooth brush/paste
- Cologne
- Tweezers, nail file, nail clippers

Almost doesn't feel right without going to a punt without it :D.... Sometimes I'll also bring my own towel and body scrub luffa thing, especially if it's a gym day since I'll have a bag to carry them around in. Makes me wonder if any of you have any "punting essentials" that you bring along with you or could even recommend...?

Offline Stevelondon

Nowt wrong with your system me old mate. If it makes you feel better then so be it.

I’m a tad on the light side personally. Maybe a couple of those smelly sprays in my pocket (the freebies you get if you buy enough perfumery)

It is always nice to visit a SP who has a well stocked and clean bathroom though.
Ellie Rose for instance. The mouthwash always supplied with a disposable paper cup. Just nice touches.

Nice list and prep OP

For me always toothpaste toothbrush,  cologne,  and chewing gum. I'm always minty fresh before a punt anyway and shower before action.

Additional part of my armoury is haemorrhoids cream just in case. (Fuck getting old....)

Offline FLYING BLUE

I always take a small bottle of mouthwash - for use before and after.

Offline RandomGuy99

I take:

- 2 x towels
- 1 x bath robe
- Shower gel
- Shampoo
- Body scrub
- Loofah
- 3 x bottles of different colognes
- 2 x deodorant
- Toothbrush
- Tweezers
- Nail clippers
- Water Flosser
- Toothpaste
- Mouthwash
- Philips One Blad and spare blades
- Spare set of clothes
- Slippers as I don't like to walk about with bare feet
- Volumising hairdryer
- 2 x Hairbrushes
- 1 x 10 metre extension reel as sometimes it is hard to find a plug socket nearby for the hairdryer
- 1 x DAB radio for the shower as I like to sing as part of my prep for a booking

I carry it all in one of these. It's usually fine, but it can be a squeeze in some of the smaller lifts in hotels and apartment buildings. I find it helps me blend in. I usually take about 5 minutes to set it all up in the SP's bathroom before I take my shower. I've gotten the prep routine down to 10 minutes now. It can take around 10 minutes to pack it all up at the end as I like to dry the towels with the hairdryer before I put them in the bag.

When going for outcalls yes, take everything, same like home, the shower gels and soaps in hotels are crap.

Going for incalls with all of that?  :scare:
Each to his own I guess, I find it ridiculous, why would you need 3 bottles of cologne and shaving machine with you?

Well you need the right cologne for the mood and venue and one that complements the fragrance in the room.

I actually just take myself having washed, brushed my teeth, cut and filed my nails beforehand.  I wear clean clothes and take a small bottle of mouthwash for use before and after. I will have shaved my bits the day with the One Blade before to avoid any last minute cuts that would cause me to have cancel the booking. I also carry a few wet wipes in a ziplock bag just in case.

I keep a roll on deodorant in my car just in case I need it.

Mostly importantly I take the correct money, my punting phone and my punting watch so I keep an eye on the time, so that I don't overrun.

I also take a few condoms and a small sealed bottle of lube in case my natural sex appeal doesn't have the SP wet within the first 5 seconds of me walking in the door.

The rest I expect the SP to provide.

Offline signy

Generally, I take the minimum amount of toiletries (toothbrush, razor, shaving gel) wherever I am going and just use whatever is knocking about.

For punts, it's usually just a travel-sized bottle of mouthwash, which I use in the car before going to the venue. If the SP absolutely states that toothbrushing is required, then I will take my own (this has only happened twice). The important thing is to read all the bottles in the shower before taking my glasses off and getting started washing.

Outcall in hotel - Yes, I have them already.

Incall - no, usually use theirs. I often want a shared shower and it would be strange to say can we use "baby bubbles"

I do carry a disposable toothbrush, wipes that can be used for hands/ face/arse.

mints/chewing gum.

That's about it.

Me too. No foreplay this month.

Only kidding…….. or do I need to explain 🤔😀

No I’m on dry white wine until the 16th then moving on to dry martini for the rest of the month.

You then need to bring a collapsible camping chair with you and that adds weight and is just impractical. I like to travel light.

My barber Spyros is a top lad, drives me there in the motorhome and then sorts the coif and bristles.
Ning or Isabella come along to do my nails.
Marianna is not included as when she does my waxing we just end up in the bed and I fail to punt.  :dash:
Nadia used to be the hygienist but she recently broke up with her OH and has taken to wearing very provocative tops while cleaning my teeth so I'm more likely to be asking her to say ah and then it gets messy and again fail to punt.  :dash:
Julian sorts the threads and then watches whatever I'm missing on telly and spoils it for me by yabbering about it with the girls when we drive home.

When I had an OH, I used to take my own shower gel and deodorant along for the obvious reason - nothing more likely to give away your extra curricular activities than smelling different! It could be a faff getting travel size stuff outside peak holiday season though. These day's I just use whatever the SP offers for the post punt shower.

I ask Spyros to go for a drive, if he parks up they all get a bit rowdy and if the girls get frisky it's a 'mare of a carnal house, there's no one to drive me home and the cleaning bill a monster.   :dash:

Yeah, but I would need to get a bigger rucksack for the hard hat, ear defenders and gloves and then there's a small tank of petrol to take too. It becomes a little impractical to take to a booking. I could use an electric one, but then I'd need to take a charger with me.

Offline maybe

Passing on some advice i've read in this forum, you could take some your own shower gel in a small container from home if you must as you don't want to go home smelling differently and having to explain it. Alternatively don't use any product on your upper body.

On a side note, I went to an MRI last year and the advice was, wear as little as possible and bring as little metal items as possible. In the waiting a room, someone rocks up to scan with one of these and 1 massive bag of kit in each hand ......

Only a towel I refuse to use a used one,no excuse for that.

My latest punt was the worst. I needed a towel after washing down below, and the only one available was the one hanging up in the bathroom. I don't know if it's coincidence but yesterday I got inflammation like I haven't had in twenty years. I went to the pharmacy today and bought Clotrimazole 1% cream.

I would have brought my own towel, but I had showered at home and decided to have a wash when I got there on the spur of the moment. Lesson learned, but for the vast majority of my punting career I have been in the habit of having a shower before arriving. In future I will bring my own small towel if I think I will need one, which I have done in the past on one or two occasions.

Not toiletries exactly, but at my age I find it is sensible to take a pair of clean underpants with me to slip on after showering. Never know when there might have been a bit of leakage.
