it was more than a few minutes-  it was fair enough, i thought.  don't want to make a big thing of it, just don't think you are necessarily getting a freebie if you run over the hour.

i'd have just given her payment at the start, whether she asked for it or not.
i've never been asked to pay more when overruns happen (and usually that happens due to talking etc on both sides, not always just the client's fault).
