Looking at the bigger picture here, UKPunting members are by far in the minority of punters in the UK. Are you seriously advising me that if an SP is not a member/listed here, that i shouldn't consider booking her

I dont do outcalls anymore but in the past I wouldnt go to one unless a deposit paid.

Incalls I only ever ask for a deposit if the gent has bad feedback on checking his number.   I dont mean 1 or 2 I mean 10 plus and then it is only minimal like 10 or 20 pounds.   

Years ago I used to ask the gent to buy me phone credit and text me the number.  This worked really well.    I have in the past asked them to purchase a one of my films.  This also works.   

Rarely get no shows these days due to the apps I use.    I can see why ladies ask for deposits.   It's the turning gents away which is so frustrating.

There are those who will say never pay a deposit, but I think they're misguided. Pay a deposit if you think it's worth it. Whether it is or not is a question that only you can answer. I've paid deposits for SPs that I really wanted to see and felt they were reputable and trustworthy enough that I wouldn't be scammed. Equally, I've refused to pay deposits for others that I also wanted to see because my spidey senses were tingling and it didn't feel right, and I've missed out as a result. I wouldn't pay a deposit for a local pump and dump. But I've paid them for occasional bucket list punts.

As for how, again that's up to you. I've refused to pay by bank transfer because it reveals my true identity to the SP and I'm not prepared to do that. I've paid deposits in three different ways: Paypal (using an account I set up in my punting name), Amazon vouchers and a payment service called Payoneer (again with an account set up in my punting name). All three seem to have worked without major issues.

Try reading the thread, he's agreed with someone who said never pay a deposit then questioning why anyone would. That is not him just saying he wouldn't. But that doesn't suit your agenda.

Very interesting to see the SPs point of view as well, a booking that doesn't take place due to no show is a loss for the SP when they could potentially have filled that slot - no pun intended.

Its a choice, at the end of the day, if you want the punt and she asks for a deposit, thats how it goes, if you dont want to pay, then no punt. A few quid here or there is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things

This also comes down to trust, if you do your homework, look at the reviews and feedback etc then why not. If you pay a small deposit and it falls through, isn't that better than going to a punt, it being a B&S or a complete waste of time where you have lost the full amount.

Thats my take on the matter - you might agree, you might not. I am not asking you to agree or criticise - everyone is different - thats what makes the world go round

It isn't rocket science. "Never pay a deposit" is the golden rule for avoiding getting scammed. But as with any rule, there are exceptions.

If the girl is special enough that you're willing to take the risk, go for your life, but know that it's money you might be pissing away. If the girl has multiple reviews saying a deposit was paid and it all worked out, then obviously the risk is pretty minimal.

If it's more the anonymity that concerns you, stick to Amazon vouchers, or be sure that whatever app you use truly is anonymous.

I've only ever paid a deposit once in a very long punting career, and that was for a party where it was common knowledge that lots of people had paid them to attend in the past.

It probably helps to have a good rep in terms of AW feedback and other places, so girls feel less need to ask for one in the first place.

Yes, I think nobody should pay deposits. It's an unnecessary risk with so many SP's to choose from.

I also think bareback is an unnecessary risk and I think nobody should do that either.

But, we all make our own decisions. Some of you will still pay deposits. And continue to be scammed. And some of you will continue to do bareback. And continue to get STI's, etc.

There is too much to go wrong paying a deposit. 

I have only done it once, and when the meet was cancelled I got it back, but the deposit was paid in AW credits.

I wouldn't do it again, you have little to no recourse if the SP lets you down and doesn't refund the money.  There is one SP I used to see fairly regularly who now asks for a deposit.  I've never let her down in the past and have no intention of doing so in future, but she has a blanket deposit policy, so I don't see her any more and she lost a client.  (I'm sure she couldn't care less though as getting a booking was always difficult due to her popularity)

I never use the bank because that will get my name exposed and if she cancelled you and the bank wont help you getting your money back, if she doesn’t return the money. At least with Adultwork you will most likely get a refund.

I am certain AW rules credits cannot be used for paying for in person or off-site activities.

I’ve booked a few who said a deposit was required.

Some insisted on a deposit, I didn’t book.
Some said they were happy without a deposit based on my AW feedback.
A couple said I just ‘sounded genuine’ so didn’t bother asking.

Based on my experience, a deposit is sometimes asked for on AW to deter time wasters from bothering to book.

I don’t do outcalls which seem more deposit dependant, but if SS and SP have ‘decent’ AW FB and booking is on there, I wouldn’t pay a deposit.

It’s interesting the deposit thing is discussed.  This game is punting.  Sometimes the meet goes ahead and is great, sometimes it’s terrible.  I’d rather have been scammed for a small deposit than some of my negative or neutral punts.  But not an option as I don’t pay deposits.
