Visiting in Jan - area recomendations

Hey folks
Im flying into Luton and of Jan and have 24h before moving onto my next dest.
Looking for recommendations of what towns in the local vicinity to stay in terms of WG options and any hotel recommendations that would be suited for WG's visiting.

Happy to travel for upto 30 mins from Luton and have a car so transport not an issue

First tip, don't punt in Luton

Second, get an Uber to MK where there are a couple of well regarded parlors and lots of indies - this is a no-brainer IMO

Thanks for the heads up but feel this is a little unfair considering its paid access to the forum
Looking at some of the responses when memebers have posted their first review its a little off putting if im being honest

Yeah looking through previous posts Luton looks like a waste of time
Had in my head MK/stevenage/watford as there all a relatively short drive away
