Chiang Rai - January

I’m visiting Chiang Rai in January for a short solo visit. Has anyone got any intel on what to expect. It looks a lot quieter to Pattaya and even Chiang Mai but it would be nice to see some local action while there.

I cannot recall reading any reviews/reports about Chiang Rai in the 9-10 years I’ve been on A W.
To be honest I haven’t read a lot about Chiang Mai in those years either.
I was in Chiang Rai 30 years ago and it was sleepy place with crap roads from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, no doubt it will have some sort of massage boom boom 💥 seen. The lady’s of the north are very very beautiful.

I have not been to Chiang Rai so cannot comment too much about it - but cannot remember anyone talking about it on here! But it will be nothing like Pattaya!!
You say you are going for a solo visit so presumably you have another , non punting reason to visit it and maybe looking for a bit of fun as an addition to your main reason! I would have thought there would be massage shops some of which would do some extras and I have just had a look on ThaiFiendly and there seems to be a number of ladies on there in Chiang Mai . So worth getting if you don’t already have it!

I've been there for a night and can't say I really noticed much action.
There may be a bar or 2 but with Chiang Mai pretty dead for bar girls I can't imagine Chang rai having many at all.
Best bet would probably be Thai friendly or other apps

I spend a lot of time in Chiang Mai and was saying to a friend who lives in Bangkok that the girls are much more pretty up there than other places which he agreed. Not sure why, Maybe some Chinese influence?

I'm sure there are some massage places you could try but essentially Chiang Rai is a sleepy, boring place. The temples (White temple, Blue Temple, black museum) and the Big Buddha are well worth checking out though.

Thanks everyone. I’ve got a couple of days in Bangkok too before I go so will make the most of it. Chiang Rai seems to have some lady bars around where I’m staying so no doubt it won’t be a complete desert.

I’ve booked a private tour guide while I’m there so can get some local advice perhaps from them.

Most beautiful area of Thailand. CR is a sleepy rough around the edges provincial city. There's a few bars in town, quite a few Farang there, usual Apps work, but it's nothing like BKK, Patts, CM etc. People are very friendly and welcoming.

Chiang Rai was interesting in that there was a dearth of decent bar girls but no shortage of massage shops offering FS.

I took one girl from the Hi 5 bar and bar fined her and fucked her for an hour. 500 baht bar fine and 2000 baht. She was tiny, blonde and very eager to please.

Visited the 69 bar and fucked a ladyboy in the toilets after she wouldn’t leave me alone. We’d played pool and had a few beers while she was groping me trying to get me to bar fine her, I didn’t like the vibe so said the hotel didn’t allow guests.  I went for a piss and she was waiting for me when I came out and pulled me into a cubicle. Fortunately I had a condom and by that point thought sod it, why not. That was another 2000 baht. An interesting experience but she was on something and I was keen to get out of there and avoided the place afterwards.

Massage girls charged 1200 for an hour massage BJ and FS which was far better.

Much cheaper than Bangkok. I paid 500 baht for a massage at a walk up spa by the Nana BTS steps and 2000 baht for BJ, quick anal (she asked to stop) and FS with a chubby girl with massive tits that I couldn’t resist when I was passing. Great time and a  very happy and willing girl.

Visited a couple of other random spas and had FS, one ladyboy in soi 4 who was fit as fuck. 2000 baht again.  I had a holiday GF at one point and got a tug off a girl in one of the couple rooms while we had a plastic curtain half drawn between us.
