How do you guys cope with the anxiety of advance bookings?  I make a booking a couple of days in advance, then start to get worked up, find I have sleepless nights, consequently resulting in being totally knackered on the day of the punt and cancelling for that reason, knowing that I won't enjoy myself.  I've only had a couple of punts in the last few years, so putting this down to my inexperience.  It must get easier the more you punt and probably helps going back to the same WG if all was good first time round.

It will pass, just enjoy the punt.

Don't let "Anxiety" get to you or as with anticipation you may "set the bar to hi" and not enjoy .

I some time punt 4 girls in a day and just roll with it!

I set most of mine up on the day, only a few (for girls with great level of service) I book in advanced

Seems like you're not cut out for punting if you are feeling too anxious about it. Also if you keep cancelling you are just becoming a timewaster so be aware of that.

Why do you book so much in advance? Why don't you try same day bookings so anxiety won't spoil it for you?

Do you have these kind of anxieties about other things in your life apart from punting? If so, try some relaxation exercises, learn to control it. Avoid excessive alcohol and caffeine, do plenty of exercise and eat a balanced diet. Stop watching porn.

Can't help much apart from that as I never have anxiety issues when punting.

It's the inexperience. I was like that when I first started, always booking well in advance to be sure I had the girls I wanted, then I could think about little else.

Now I tend not to book much in advance, normally just a day or two before, sometimes on the day. I have my 'Xmas special' booked for next week with a regular and even though it's going to be a bit different this time, I won't spend much time thinking about it until the day.

Thanks for the advice, don't have any other anxieties in my life, just normal married family, work and stuff. I do exercise, cycling when I can, don't drink much alcohol and not that much coffee either, four cups or so a day.  Must cut back on watching porn though!  :D

I think akauya is spot on. You need to really ask yourself if this line of enjoyment is for you. It could be feelings of guilt, shame even. Whatever it is you need to get it straight in your head and if you can't then punting is not for you.

I'm not a fan of advance booking. If I must I will do it though. I hate getting all worked up for a top punt just to be cancelled on or even worse she turns out to be a shit punt.  At least with same day stuff your hopes don't get built up.

For me the nerves were only an issue my first couple of punts, it's now much more excitement / anticipation than fear.  I spend a lot of time thinking about what I might like to try / to differently in my next punt, with some of my regs even having fairly lengthy chats via e-mail to explain what I want, all adding to the build-up.  Usually makes for a great punt for me.

Great advice. If i was anxious about punting it would spoil my fun, for me its great anticipation but i am usually a same day punter. I dont know a week next Wednesday whether i would fancy a punt or not, though i know some punters like the feelings of a long build-up.

I found booking in advance just made me horny in the day or two before as I thought about the (perhaps) fantastic experience to come.  Then I would wank a lot and be no good on the day!!!!  :dash:

Now tend to book day before or same day.

I usually book a few days in advance as my windows of opportunity can be limited and I want to be sure I have something organised. On the few occasions I have booked same day, I find myself making bad choices in desperation when time is running out. I suppose this is an argument for having a regular to fall back on.

I don't feel anxious when I have booked in advance, in fact it adds to the build up, but my balls can ache like a migraine

+1.When I spy a WoO in the future, I book in advance. Same day is just when I get the urge.

Thanks for all the input guys, think that my biggest worry is getting caught.  I'm not the best of liars and think that everybody would know what I was up too if I was heading out on a punt.  Realistically I know that this is paranoia, why would they know what I was up to.

However I have found a lady who I'm attracted to, offers services I am after hasn't been reviewed on here, but does have good reviews on AW, just works part time seeing only three to four clients a month.   So after the festive season is over, I'm going to man up and go for it!

Offline sumofallparts

I also tend to book on the day, or sometimes the day before.

I spend ages researching the next punt though, so it's a huge blow ( often the opposite ) if it's a bad one.

I suspect you are somebody who has anxiety in everyday life.  Therefore, this kind of thing is good for you - it will help you face your fears and build your confidence.  Yes I do get anxiety before a punt but don't lose sleep over it.  Now that you mention it I can remember having trouble sleeping when thinking about pre-planned punts, early on - a few years ago.  Just keep doing it and it will get easier.  Anxiety is nothing to be concerned about.  It won't hurt you.  Push yourself, and go for it - you're strengthening your character by putting yourself in situations outside of your comfort zone.

Punting has worked wonders for my confidence.  When it goes well that is.  A bad punt can be soul-destroying!  So remember to do your research.

Yeah, well said LL. I've experienced all of that. Punting gives you confidence (and a slight arrogance) with civvies that seems to attract them to you. They must be mad....

+1. Must have posted that as I was typing. The value of a regular (which I wasn't keen on for the first 6 months) cannot be over-estimated.

I don't make them. =no anxiety over it.

Whenever I've made an arrangement more than a few hours ahead I've ended up either losing interest or something else has come up that is more important.

Offline Trevor12

Almost all my punts have been arranged on the day. There is a girl on my HL who has set a tour date for my area just over a month away, so I plan on booking her well in advance. I think I'll be more excited than anything else, and hoping I don't come down with a cold.

Offline pilgrim

If Its a regular WG then theres very little worries and I will just txt the day before and the morning of the punt just to make sure all is ok and see if there are any last minute changes.

If its a new WG, possibly a tourer to the area then I will try to do more research/review reading to make sure it will be a positive, I will also set in motion a Plan B.  Txts the day before and on the morning of just to reassure.

Fail to Prepare=Prepare to Fail

Hope for the Best, Plan for the worst.

Ask yourself "What if..."  try and think ahead and have a variety of options if things go tits up on the day.  But as mentioned, dont become a frequent canceller as you will get labelled as a timewaster.

It's perfectly normal for a lot of people to be a little nervous before they meet someone for the first time, so even more normal if the plan is to shag them. I find that the nerves usually disappear after the first 5 minutes so just crack on and get on with it.
