If it was me, i would book either a Travelodge or Premier Inn for one night. You don't have to stop overnight. Just pop the room key/card into the box at reception when you are done. Just had a quick look round by me. Travelodge for one night next week is £42.

Thing with a lot of hotels is not so much the reception, people are going in and out all the time. It is more conspicuous to go to a private house than a hotel. The problem with hotels is whether they need key cards for the lifts and doors.

Motel One in Manchester has always been no hassle as keycards not needed for the lifts (unless it has changed recently)

Don’t know if this is any good, but don’t Boudoir Babes let you hire a room by the hour ?
