Author Topic: STD test before bareback?  (Read 2555 times)

Offline LeedsGent

I read a post where someone mentioned that STD tests in Jakarta were cheap and fast.  They were suggesting that if you find a girl you like and are planning on taking her to an island for a week in a nice hotel.  Getting both of you tested and then having a week’s worth of bareback fun.  If I were dating someone over here for I while I would be happy to both get tested and stop using the condoms, without issues.  I guess if you have just met someone they may caught something recently from their last partner, which might not show up on a test yet.  I would not want to catch Gonorrhea, chlamydia or syphilis at least they can be treated. I would be more concerned about HIV, Herpes or hepatitis.

My question is this has any done anything like this?
How safe would it be?

How safe would it be? It doesn't sound at all safe to me.

What if you get her pregnant? Thats the worst STI IMO. It's safer to stick to transgender or post menopausal women so as to avoid this!!

Some STIs don't show up on tests for a week or two after unprotected sex, which is why the NHS recommends waiting that long before getting a test.

Some take much longer than two weeks to be detected by tests.

He's talking about dating, not paid for sex hence me asking what it has to do with punting, a question he is yet to answer.

Maybe this would be better in the off topic section?

STDs can take a long time to show up on tests.

The NHS suggest 7 weeks External Link/Members Only

A quick google suggests some can be longer: External Link/Members Only

  Chlamydia: 2 weeks

    Gonorrhoea: 2 weeks

    HIV: 7 weeks

    Hepatitis B: 12 weeks

    Hepatitis C: 12 weeks

    Syphilis: 12 weeks

Hepatitis C can sometimes take up to 9 months to show in a test, so if you're not sure when you might have been exposed, do a test now, and another test in 9 months.

I assume money is involved - though this reminded me of a rather depressing encounter in Jakarta some years ago.

A client wanting to reward me paid for a girl to spend all night with me. I could tell she wasn't happy about it and spent one of the most uncomfortable nights I can recall lying in bed with her and doing nothing.

If only he'd chosen a skilled and slutty piece of work. Much more my style!

Of course money is involved but in the OP's case it's paying to go on a date not a paid sex encounter.
