Follows a write up of my week in Pattaya

Day 1

I am staying 1 night at Lk metropole hotel  and the rest of time at the amethyst hotel, change in dates causing the 1 night at the metropole.

After arriving early afternoon, I needed feeding so based on reports here I headed for one bar and had their breakfast , really and great value. Interesting watching LK Metro slowly coming to life.

Next up leg massage at one of the smaller Risa massage places.Very nice and the lady kept hinting at more available upstairs. She “Take care” of me upstairs !

Had to do some home admin to do, then out for food, had a walk around, oneness round LK Metro thenwalked up Soi Chaiyapoon, don’t remember this street being this full on last year, maybe I was only there in the daytime. At the top end found a large eatery , basic facilities but was crowded with locals and foreigners. Clear mixed seafood soup. Wonderful.

Great trip report you just have to take the rough with the smooth.  At least in Thailand probably 75-80% of experiences are favourable compared with perhaps 20% here for multiple times the price!  I think it's almost impossible you can work at a place like that for a year and not be bar fined.  Sometimes they get 1 year and 1 month mixed up though and that can also happen on google translate if you were using that.  It's something I've had before then she showed me the calendar and she meant 1 month and not 1 year. 

I think all these hands on places like Kink are hit and miss.  The standards of women also tend to be lower and I am fussy.  The stunners don't need to work these places and if they end up in one they usually don't last long.  The last time I went to Kink it was all 30 something women who were more vulgar than sexy.  Windmill 2 i had a lot of fun at when I lived in Patts, BJ in corner, RO in corner etc but still 80% of the time it's sterile.  Then you can go in at 1am on a random Monday in low season and it's just completely gone off and they're all acting wild.

Day 2

Started off slow had hangover from night before. Also had to change hotels today. So packed bags and checked out leaving luggage at reception.

Went for breakfast at time bar 99 baht for small english breakfast, start of the hangover cure, orange juice and english tea included.

Went for a leg massage, by god was she strong, good massage, another one of Risa shops. Went and collected bags walked to Amethyst hotel 4 mins away. Lovely hotel and room , cost a bit but worth it for me. Had a siesta, second part of hangover cure. Up and about 3:30 unpacked , booked bolt to Soi 6.

Arrived abot 4:45 for a bar crawl organised by Holywood bar. Met the guys that run the bar and the crawl. At about 5:30 we set off for first bar, the format was we entered got a big table the bar did a line up and we each picked a girl. From there it was up to you and tbe girl how things progressed sorry cant remember any names and i might even get this in the wrong order.

Foxy bar My girl was average looking and very difficult to engage with, one lady drink and one drink for me and off to the next bar.

Holywood Back to Hollywood at around 8-8:30, had Pizza (Free), spent the next couple of hours having a lovely time with a lovely slim girl who i was about to bar fine. When, alcohol, sleep deprevation, age just suddenly hit me, i could have curled up and slept in the corner. Reluctantly checked bin and tried to walk it off.


All in all i had a great time, will be back to Soi 6. The crawl was well organised, it started with 6 or 7 of us, we lost a couple to enemy temptation 😁and a few joined later. 5k baht spent all night which i thought was great value.

The only issue a few of us had was the noise in the second half of the soi going down from 2nd road, a few of us me included just couldnt handle it, i mentioned in a previous post.


Walking it off meant a walk down beach road, ended up in Walking Street, my thats changed quite a bit in a year, seem much more geared towards people from India, lots more Indian clubs or it seems that way to me Still feel mentally knackered so grabbed a bike Taxi and back to the hotel in bed by 11:30 ish. Slept for 12 hours.

Day three

 
In the afternoon, I went to a barbershop and had, a shave, a face mask a manicure and pedicure, ear cleaning, some light massage, hair wash and more light massage.
 
A really nice way to spend 90 minutes for 700 baht.
 
Took a taxi to Soi 6 then walked to terminal 21 as I was quite early for the evening activities, had a coffee, mooch around, there seem to be quite a few Russians around in terminal 21, the shopping centre is very nice.
 
Fired up party.
 
Arrived at 7 pm met Greg, had a beer and until the start of the party. I had already picked my girl from the bar the night before, she is a solid girl not very tall. The reason I picked her is because she is quite crazy. I thought she would be good fun.
 
The gents were allowed upstairs at 7:30. The room is divided into four squares with couches around each of the sides of the squares. There is a pillar in the middle and a sort of platform that the girls can dance on each gen took up the couch a couple had to have two gents on the couch.
The girls then came up and moved around the platforms so that they could be picked my girl. I had already told to come and sit with me.
 
Drinks for the men are included in the ticket price for girls get one rack of shorts each and a lady drink as part of the price of the ticket. Some gents chose to 2 girls others just had the one. Once the drinks have been served, the party started and you got to know your girl as you would expect, the party started slowly and became better as the night went on. Girls would be sat in your lap dancing around you generally mucking about having a great laugh. More drinks for the goals cost extra money. The girls seem to always want the rack of shots 700 to 800.baht per rack.
 
As the night went on the party became more wild with top half nudity on display in some places but I never saw any lower half nudity, some goals seemed quite passive and some of the gentleman left early. I guess it depends on the girl you choose.
 
My girl, crazy girl I will call her, she was crazy lively and great fun, by the end of the night I had my hands on her tits and she was showing me her puss, and let me have a feel outside. Have to say I am struggling with LK a bit, quality seems quite low. Maybe I’m just unlucky.
 
It was now getting on for 3 am. I had had quite a bit to drink so decided to call it a night. I think I spent just over 1000 in oasis, I think if there had been more customers in there it would’ve been a really nice place that was a bit dead. It must off had quite a bit of money spent on it.

Day four.
 
This day was the first day that I hadn’t really got a plan, having spent the last two days of Soi Six I decided other places needed exploring. I had never really explored so the bukhao so decided to visit some of the bars in the hopes of maybe finding a freelancer. I also decided that maybe I was looking in the wrong age group so decided to look for an older girl.
 
Before visiting the bars I fancy a bit more TLC so look for a massage spot and decided on let’s relax spa on Beach Road. Walk down to beach Road, but by the time I got there I was a sweaty mess so decided to have coffee and some air-conditioning first. Walked into let’s relax spa looked at their menu and decided on a four hands Thai massage followed by a hot boil massage two hours in total, luxury massage is there something I really enjoy.
 
let’s relax spa does not look like a normal Thai massage shop. It looks more like a western massage spa. The building and facilities are extremely clean and well maintained and the operation is very professional.
 
The massage was done by two middle-aged ladies who wouldn’t look out of place in wrestling ring they both looked very strong. I said to them that I was now now scared as they look so so so strong we both laughed so so hard I could barely breathe I must say that time massage was fantastic. They stretch me pulled me prodding me all over. once this was done, one of the ladies left and the hot oil massage began the feeling of the hot oil pulled onto your skin is very nice. again, the massage was really good. The total cost of the two massages was about 2800 baht. I know you can get this for less than 1000 at a normal massage shop, but in this area it’s finding one that does offer extra. There is one on soy bukhao  that advertises is no sex so I will try that and compare and contrast the experiences.
 
I returned to the hotel to take care of some business at home and then out onto Soi Buakhao. I found somewhere where to eat Thai food just before tree town open air with a number of different sort of street vendors. I had a Thai green curry which was delicious so much so I’ve been there since for different dishes total cost about 250 baht.
 
After eating, I fixed my objective in my head, older woman in a bar so I walked up Soi bukhao checking out the bars  as I went there are so many bars and that’s not including the side streets.
 
Walked past a bar called and this pretty looking girl sheepishly waved at me with a great smile, I walked past, then turned around and went back, she brought me into a table right at the front of the bar, and I ordered a drink. I asked if she wanted to join me and if she wanted a drink, she seemed a bit shocked but agreed. It turns out that this was her first day working in the bar. And first day working in Pattaya. This is becoming a theme of mine! We chatted for quite awhile. I noticed that she didn’t order many drinks. In two trips, I have never spent long on Soi 6. Might give it another go. Not that I need someone to help me find a bar (oh look there's one now), but organised things are amusing.  How did you notice the bar crawl and the Fire party?

In some respects, that was a pro-move.

Sometimes after I have bar-fined I stay for more drinks / lady drinks in her bar. The girls seem to like it (as they get a little more baht), but it seems to settle them that you are 'a good man' or that you have 'a good heart'. It seems to get the girl brownie points off the mamusan as well.
Same for going to the 7/11 before going to the hotel. Just asking or buying the odd thing for them (water, mints, gum etc) seems to help things go smoothly.

One of my bar fines announced that she was hungry and thirsty, so I bought a 100 baht chicken sewer for her from one of those food carts. We got back to the hotel and she ate her chicken. She was fed and watered and OMG she was ready to fcuk!

Had a slow day, decided to try a couple of Gents clubs.

Day 7

Thought I would try for another bar girl tonight.

Post trip wrap up, any opinions I give are mine, others are entitled to their own and they are just as valid as mine.

Any visa/ Mastercard/ Amex will work. You just have to watch the exchange rate and fees, I use a card called currensea, it has very competitive exchange rates and no fees, you don’t have to put money in it, it direct debits your bank account after a few days. Works really well. Most cash machines will charge 250 baht per transaction though, so best to do large withdrawals less frequently. The other alternative is to take cash and change it there, load of exchange shops around.

It’s largely a cash society, you can’t rely on being able to pay by card anywhere. You also have to watch what they charge to your card in some of the bars / gogos. All in all best to use cash for most transactions. Most hotels are fine unless you are going down market.

In Pattaya i averaged aboy 12k baht a day, soo appeox £300 a day. I was quite generous with lady drinks and tips though so could probably cut that by a third.

I am 59,  Jet lag dosnt bother me that much, i make sure i am very tired on the first night then have a good sleep 8+ hour, then i am ok.

My personal opinion 10 days was about right, any more and i would have to find other things to do, island visit or something. Also any longer and i would need to make some male friends/ wingmen.

So couple of week since I have been back took  4 tests

HIV negative
Syphilis negative
Gonnoreah negative
Chlamydia positive

So now on a course of doxy for a week.

Now, I always used a condom for sex and I was taking doxycycline pep, so how did I catch it.

My guess is , after I left Pattaya I had 1 night in Bangkok and I went to a nuru massage place, report coming.

There was allot of water and nuru gel all over me, condom was changed at least twice from memory and she finished me by hand after handling condom.

Also as I flew home that night it was about 50-60 hours until I took the pep, it’s only 60-70% effective anyway.

Has it put me off, not at all, it’s a risk I accepted, it the most minor one you can catch, irs being dealt with.

Will test again a week after the antibiotic course, then do a full set of tests again at 10-12 weeks

On with planning the next trip.

Fisherman - you were perhaps a little unlucky. I have been to Thailand / Pattaya 7 times in the last 3 years (to be 8 next week) and provided i am happy with their hygiene i always go for protexted sex but owo  and have never caught anything (touch wood!!)

as you did, always get tested immediately upon return to be sure!

I always test on return. A year ago after a trip I did a home test and was positive for Gonnoreah. Went to the doctors who did a test which was sent to a lab, and it was negative. The Dr told me the home tests are not very accurate accurate.
