Every time someone has an issue with doing what they should or shouldn't be doing, be it their job or something else, all I hear nowadays is "my mental health" is to blame, so you can't blame me. Not accepting responsibility for one's actions, is in itself is becoming a disease.

Good grief, I often wonder what is between some peoples ears. This 'arrangement' must have been going on a long time and cost Mr W a lot of money to justify going to the FOS.

and she must have been shagging him in returj for the money, so maybe she should have presented a bill for services provided with any extras noted separately.  He wasn't getting nothing for his money.

147 x shags 2 hrs each at discounted rate of £120 per hour:
54 x CIM extra
4 x shopping trips of 4 hrs each at £100 per hour
2 x assisting Mr W with selecting women's clothing to wear on night out to swingers club at £100 her hour

It's because of people like him, that other, mainly older folk, get closely questioned when  they want to get a few grand out of their bank/BS to pay a builder or buy a second hand car.

If you have ever had to look out for an elderly relation, you would be glad of this.

Yep, aside from AML checks, I've been checked quite a few times over the past year when doing transfers to and from my personal accounts at Currencies Direct and Revolut. However, not a single check when transferring money in to, or out of, my Halifax personal account  :unknown:

TBH I think there's an element of truth in this. I don't blame banks for being cautious about how customers are using their money when they might be on the hook for any loss if the customer is a fuckwit or has been genuinely scammed. I agree though that the age thing likely isn't a big factor. A lot of young people get scammed as well. The bank probably looks at what behaviour is out of the ordinary.

Wish he had won. I would have gone straight to the local bank branch seeking reimbursment of all withrawals since being married  :wackogirl:

An interesting read, can't believe he actually thought he would get any money back. Doesn't state the amount he spent on her but I do LOL at the £50 compensation he got  :sarcastic:

"advoid her": Is that a poor spelling of advise?
