There do seem to be quite a lot more appearing who are charging way more than the rest.  Usually they are British ( don't know about this one as the link appears broken ) and, whilst beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I often find myself umming and arghhing about whether I would choose to go with them even before I see the price.  It's also not unusual for them to have had a boob job and be sporting the plumped up lips as well which makes me wonder if they are looking for the money to pay for surgery which leaves them with a look and feel I don't find particularly desirable. 

It does seem like the punting world has changed a fair bit.  The Thais are no longer as reliable as they used to be, the Brazilians seem to have moved into that space, kissing is rarely something you can expect these days and really top notch punts are few and far between.

I think its justified paying a premium for home grown British talent or uncommon ethnicities in the punting scene. Its simple supply and demand , for example there is always a plethora of choice with Brazilians and a constant influx of new talent coming and going whereas that is definitely not the case with young Brits that do offer a different punting experience imo. But, yes I agree DFK with a hooker is rarely as good as with a civilian unfortunately.
