SPs working hotels or bars

Hi Gents!

In London, it is not unusual for SPs to work high end hotel lobbies and bars, looking for clients.  Does this happen in Newcastle... and if so where?

Never heard of it in Newcastle, or seen any reviews on here of where it's happened in London for that matter.

My examples date from pre-covid times, and I imagine that the circumstances of these types of encounters are highly fluid.  That said, I personally had four experiences of SPs propositioning me after seemingly innocuous initial flirty encounters:

The 50 St James, a private club (now closed)

Well I’ve certainly been to a few bars, clubs, hotels in my time. All over the world in fact.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve never seen it. Not in the way the OP means it anyway.

It must happen surely.
I watched James Bond being approached by an escort when he was rolling dice in Las Vegas.
The only women who approached me when I was there were waitresses.
Mind you I didn’t mind as they were in lingerie.

I have seen it in London years ago in hotels like the Royal Lancaster and Grosvenor House.
Work no longer takes me to such places so no idea if the practice is still current

Not questioning just looking for information about where I can read about it.

You are saying something is "not unusual" I'm saying I've never seen it mentioned or reviewed on here so I would like to read about it, so if you don't mind can you link to where this "not unusual" occurrence has been mentioned.

It's 'not unusual' for massage parlours or Romanian brothels to be raided in the North East but I can link to reports of those if you would like to read about it.

I’m pretty sure I’ve stayed at places where the yacht fraternity like to mingle. But like Davie I’ve not seen or been approached by a girl working the room to speak.

Might be me in me flannels, socks and sandals mind you.

It did happen many years ago in london (pre internet)   also these days aswell as internet  the  hotel concierge has a lot of numbers

Dont think it ever been happening in Newcastle
 Only place I have actually seen  it was in Dubai  and I clocked they were WG`s and had a lovely chat with them

I have seen this but it was around 20 years ago in Las Vegas.  Saw it both in The Venetian and Paris hotels.

I have heard of SP "freestyling" in expensive hotels bars in London. I doubt the clients they pick up are the kind that would be on here. The punters on here plan bookings  rather than just hang around a bar on the off chance of meeting a random SP.
  Plus they usually charge pretty high rates and they may not exchange any contact information like a phone number so the review would be pointless. Since there would be no way of knowing how to get in touch with her.
 
I dont think its something that would happen in Newcastle. Maybe you could book a girl from an agency or AW and they will agree to play along with meeting you in a bar if its some kind of fantasy you have

I should also add. This kind of freestyle work is way more common in foreign countries especially in Asia. So the clients are probably more likely to be foreign business men or just opportunists who just went to the bar, had a few drinks and met an attractive women who hinted she was up for paid sex and thought "why not".
   I doubt these people would even be aware of this site let alone think about joining and making a review.
  Also since the goal of these SP is probably to catch one "big fish" a night I would imagine they would expect upwards of £500. Or it wouldn't be worth the effort of getting dressed up and possibly hanging around for hours. Obviously this why it only happens in very upscale hotel bars in London. I guess the advantages for the SP is they dont have to go through the painful process of joining AW or giving a cut to an agency and needing expensive professional photos.

I don't know if it still is, but used to be common in some Eastern European countries following the end of communism.
Prague, East Berlin, Dresden to name a few places where I've seen it.
Typically two or three 30-year old bottle blondes, sitting at the bar on stools drinking fizzy "wine" from a special bottle tightly controlled by the head barman.......in reality it was mostly soda water with a splash of wine. The girls would be intercepting rich looking blokes and inviting them to buy the girl a drink (i.e. fake champagne from the special bottle) with a view to moving on to more....
Also the head barman would be taking phone calls, jotting room numbers onto notes and passing these to whichever girl had been requested.
Nothing hidden, but at the same time not made obvious. The barman was the pimp, but whether he was acting for the hotel, or his own pocket is anyone's guess

Funny you say that. I stayed at the Venetian about 10 years ago and I was propositioned on the casino floor in the early hours. I don't know for certain but I assumed she was a working girl.

Im sure nowadays SP in America prefer not to risk being arrested for soliciting so they extensively screen clients online. But pre Internet I imagine this was a popular way for high end SP to operate.

Not that im old enough to remember lol. Just going off what people have told me. Im sure some of you can remember those days. Didn't they have adverts in the daily sport? Is that still a thing?

I certainly saw a fair share in Czech republic decades ago, they stayed with you for the duration of your stay and were compensated by the local company you were seeing.

I hear it still happens, a couple of colleagues were busted in Budapest last year and the guys who visit South Korea and China say its a given there too. I am glad my traveling days were without social media and camera phones.

And before the rather glossy cards in the telephone box there were adverts in the windows of newsagents with 'Large chest for sale' - the purchaser did not normally come away with furniture.

Happened to me in Vegas, the SP was from Sheffield so I politely declined, only after I had thought I was chatting her up 🤦🏻‍♂️
