Saw a WG today and my missus said she could smell her perfume

Post punt I showered and really scrubbed and then put my  normal wax on and rubbed it over my beard.

How do I avoid getting clocked again?

Ask the SP not to wear perfume?  Some of the better ones either just don't or ask if it's ok.

I used to only punt on days when the Mrs was away or if I was away but now those days don’t come round enough so:


I request no perfume before the booking.

I shower straight away after sex is over & use MY OWN SHOWER GEL which is the same that I use at home. I moisturise and then spray my aftershave on.

I then have another shower when at home (even if I’m back before the Mrs) and re moisturise & re apply my aftershave again.


Might seem long, but can be done extremely quickly and is worth it as it’s not just perfume you have to worry about but also the smell of latex / condom and also the smell of cum.

Assuming you are prebooking by at least an hour or two then make sure you state in coms that you would like her not to wear any kind of perfume or scent as you cannot risk transfer.

You can also avoid bodily contact before you get naked and shower before leaving, if you are able then take a mini shower gel and some deodorant that  are those you normally use that will help.

If you are doing walk ins then its going to be pot luck.

Personally I would never wear perfume or anything with a transferable scent regardless

So the client gets accused of seeing a bloke instead of a woman? Not sure this is a sensible approach as many people it would not matter what the smell was, just that it was new and unexplained. Obviously a little easier to make a plausible explanation for mens scent but surely better to have nothing to explain.

Never really had a problem to be honest, the rooms often smell strongly but the SP herself rarely has anything strong.

My “secret” is there is at least 24 hrs before I return home which gives plenty of time for lingering smells to dissipate.

Shaving your beard may help - less for the aroma to adhere onto.

In my job I’m in close proximity of other people, some of who are younger adult females who liberally spray perfume on. So when I come home I usually stink of women’s perfume.
My OH only comments when I don’t smell of perfume now 😆

Good idea. It doesn't need to spray anywhere. If you have a diesel car, especially, just don't wear those little disposable plastic gloves, your hands will stink anyway and overpower any other lingering aromas.

When you are having your post shag shower use your own shower gel or some neutral soap (including your beard) or you could use some Lynx (which is usually always there) and smell like you've been hanging around with teenage boys.

    I try to fill my car / van up with diesal and check oil and then the clincher the air in tyres this always leaves me with dirty hands needing scrub and I fein a nasty shit needing a shower to get rid of the ...

Probably was perfume. I had a tantric massage the other day and was reeking of perfume. It wasn't off the oil either. It was perfume and was so strong it smelt like it was drifting in the air a few feet around me. Awful!

To be fair a few times when ive been waiting in line in bank, sainsburys and at cashpoint I ve have been the victim of a Colatral Spray of cheap perfume from various women ...Funnily I was with my other half and a 40 ish desiner woman sprayed her self with stuff she looked at her as said Joe Malone it doesnt last long does it and they both moaned about it worst ive had was when some Fat sruffy looking lad in a chefs outfit sprayed himself in front of me with Fin Lynx Body spray over his greasey clothes

As others have mentioned, fragrance free shower gel.

If you don’t have access to fragrance free shower gel then rinse yourself thoroughly with just water. Don’t use any of her stuff and don’t top it up with your own signature fragrances. You’ll just be adding smell on top of more smells.

SPs shouldn’t be using heavy perfumes anyway, the few that do usually do it in lieu of a shower.

Yeah, never use their stuff. Because that is covering your whole body with a foreign scent. Women will pick up on this even if it’s men’s shower gel, it will be weird that you smell different.

Saying you went to the gym and used someone’s shower gel can get you out of that but best is prevention and not having to lie in first place….

I've been caught out before using a coconut shower gel and not thinking anything of it but of course it's such a distinct smell.

Not the smartest idea, most women don't stick to one scent and why at the end of a work day would you come home smelling of her perfume?
Especially if she is wearing a different one that day

In hot weather start wearing strong insect repellent, rub and use swarfega to clean your hands. Start using a strong mint shampoo / shower gel. Work out after, having a swim and proper shower maybe sauna are all options. I used to work in hospitals a lot and there was often nurse perfume transfer to me.

Hibiscrub body wash will sort you right out. You can buy it online or in boots. If it's good enough for surgeons before surgery, then a bit of perfume should be a doddle

This has been an issue for me a couple of times. Sometimes a shower after the action is not enough to remove perfume even if you use your own shower gel and the problem can be then that it gets transferred to your clothes which a wife can sniff at her leisure once you take them off if she is suspicious.

If you do find yourself in a situation where you suspect you smell of perfume then don't risk going home. Buy cheap t-shirt or shirt and then either find a gym which does day passes or worst case book a cheap hotel and then have a very long shower and discard any tainted clothing.

Watching the "Mr Wolf" part of Pulp Fiction may be helpful.

When showering after a punt, remember to rinse your hair through - it holds fragrant smells longer than skin and if you go home and greet the OH with a kiss you are putting it right into sniffing range.

I was going to say, I heard of CEO who would rub a little petrol on himself after going to strip clubs. The smell is probably so strong that any residual perfume would be hard to detect, although I'm not recommending it as it could be dangerous. I think I heard of eating oranges and rubbing some of the peels on yourself and your clothes.
