After a decade of Punting I feel like I've completed my bucket list of kinks and done everything I've wanted to do in the Punting game. Sure, there are kinks I haven't done or considered but of the ones I've thought about I've done. Most meets just seem too repetitive - from the convos to positions to sensations.

The buzz and adrenaline rush from researching, booking an appointment, walking to the apartment and seeing them behind the door doesn't seem to be there anymore. I only punt if the urge is there but it's almost like a lifestyle habit I created from the many years rather than true desire to Punt. Pulling civies in bars but it's just too much effort, time and money. My sex drive is normal and I take good care of my health. Wanking off to porn just doesn't shake of the desire or libido to shag women whatsoever.

Enjoying sex with hot woman and enjoying the company is always one of the reasons to continue but the cycle just seems so monotonous. It's fulfilling up to a certain point and then it isn't anymore. This life is a nice form of escapism where's there's no other life problems to deal with but sometimes the thought of spending that money on things you really wanted is always there. Having caught an STD or two here and there certainly doesn't help at all either. Nowadays I just feel a lot of guilt for spending all that money.

I've got a theory. Its occurred to me reading a number of these threads, and a bit around my own experience, that jsut as you can have relationships in the civvie world, you actually have a relationship with punting. Not jsut individual SPs but with the game as a whole. 

And like with any other relationship it can become stale and boring. 

One advantage with punting is that you can take a break, not have to explain yourself, not divvy up the shared posessions and can go back without grovelling.

As for keeping it fresh, maybe a new exploration or different format. I know that I hadn't considered massage before I came on here. I am also thinking about travelling overseas with mongering in mind.

Why do you need to keep going? It's a hobby that gives you a dopamine hit and pleasure. If you're bored with it or it's a bit routine, take a break and/or find another hobby. You can always come back to it when you need a different spark.

Probably a habit built over the years for dopamine hits which has somewhat become a routine and then I crave the next dopamine hit.

Bored but going through the motions .... and still doing it.  Another solid "neutral" today where I could have easily just saved the £100 and had a wank at home, another reminder of the waste that is present in the SP community these days - piss poor comms, made to wait, shitty location and difficult parking - should have gone home.

I guess I feel the same way with this thread as I do about the similar one a few weeks back. There is no way to tell why someone would go off punting as it is subjective. Maybe give it a break and find some hobbies or other ways to spend your money. I am going through the same thing, but it is a mixture of my own issues, and the fact I don't like travelling too far to punt, especially on public transport. I don't have that many options locally to me.

Even though the punt routine is generally predictable, the girls, the rooms, the service, the location are always different. I genuinely only regret a handful of punts in my time and I punt a lot less now. But I do see it as a barrier between me and that slow drift into senility.

I don’t know how long I will continue but as long as I am presentable and the opportunity still presents itself, I will continue to add more conquests. If I drop dead tomorrow or I make it to Coulstan’s grand age then I will continue to rage against the dying of the light…
