Author Topic: Robbed during a Chinese Massage ?  (Read 1745 times)

We can't accuse service providers of giving us an infection - but can I accuse this service provider in a review?

I booked for a one hour massage in a well reviewed establishment on here. The woman was good. But later that day I found out that my wedding ring was missing.

I can't be totally certain where it's gone. It's not something that I check every day - it's just "there". It's never fallen off before - no matter what I've been doing. However I'm 90% certain it was stolen from me here. Here's why...

I'm face down naked on the massage table. Looking back there were a couple of red flags. The first thing she did was oil my hands (and lots of oil). I assumed, at the time this was to stop me from groping her whilst she was doing the massage. She spent a fair bit of time massaging my hands and at one point walked away from the bed and went elsewhere in the room - I assumed at the time to go and get something - more oil, some wipes. Maybe she was going to store my ring.

I text the establishment later on the day but my ring has not been found - just in case it had dropped off onto the floor.

Obviously my wife is not happy and I'm lying as to where I could have lost it.

When I was leaving I took my watch out of my coat and put on. The provider seemed to take great interest in it and say how nice it was - so does she have an interest in jewellery and watches ?

Some Asian massage places when massaging the hands also do a pulling technique on each finger and let's it snap. Perhaps that's when it came off

Sounds a bit far-fetched that it was stolen by the masseuse. Oiling hands is normal with Chinese massage, and it may be that this has made it easier to fall off.

If the masseuse was a thief, she certainly wouldn't then make a big deal of your watch. I think you've probably just lost it.  :hi:

I've had the puking technique on my fingers before. I've had my arms and hands oiled - but that came after.

This time it was straight to my hands.

I had asked her, before the massage started, if - after 20 minutes - she would strip off and then climb onto the bed before continuing the massage. She didn't seem keen on doing this. I assumed the "oiled hands" (as previously stated) was to stop groping.

I can't be totally certain where it's gone.
That is the main point, you can't be certain the masseuse took it.

To me to remove a ring from a customer's hand during a massage in the hope they wouldn't notice would be a very risky thing to do, unlike something in a pocket your hands are in plain view at all times and you could notice it missing at any time.

Obviously it has never fallen off before, you haven't lost it before.   :unknown:
