A few years ago there was a short thread about punting-related nightmares (actual nightmares in your sleep, not real-life bad experiences). I can’t find one about sexual dreams in general so I thought I’d start this one.

Does anyone regularly dream about punting or any other kind of sex? I often get myself to sleep by fantasising about erotic adventures and I’m usually sound out within a few minutes. But my actual dreams rarely include the sexual act. They usually involve a surreal variation on my former job or a scenario with my ex-wife and my kids when they were little. And if I ever do have a sexual dream there’s never any sensation of physical pleasure in dreamland (on the other hand, when I’m falling or being attacked in a nightmare there’s no sensation of pain either).

But lately I’ve noticed after waking up to pee in the small hours (say 4 to 5am) then starting a sexual fantasy in my head to help me get back to sleep, every so often this does result in some kind of erotic-themed dream.

Anyone have experiences to relate?

My last dream I remember from 2 days ago

I was running about hotels in central London

Chasing a girl whose profile had come to my attention via this website (in waking life)


I arrived at a hotel where I was texted she worked

I was fuming and demanding answers
I was slapping and shaking up the concierge and hotel staff
Who were all somehow involved in the operation I guess

I was finally told where she really worked
From a very beaten and bruised staffer

I arrived at another hotel

There's a large storage container in the distance

As I approached
I could hear moaning
I start to get excited as I draw closer
When I approach
