Don't want to be alarmist but was informed today by the health advisor at the clinic that there has been a massive increase in syphilis cases lately in and around Doncaster area. She also said it's not centred around any age group or sex workers as they usually find it either.
Stay safe.

I'm not sure what the current figures are but , according to the newspaper article it's gone up by 1 incident in the last year and it's affecting 0.01% of the population.

What would be interesting to know is if it's civvies or WG's who have the infection.

My money is on the civilian population of Doncaster.

Having walked around central Doncaster, it would not surprise me to learn that syphilis, rabies, and scabies are all on the rise.

Donny is an absolute shithole, town full of beggars and druggies.  People who think they can sing and it also as a red light area.

Doesn't surprise me at all.....

Don't forget all the new arrivals.

Increased from 37 cases to 38 cases.

A record high

That's the last two complete years.
Completely possible the current incomplete year is showing a spike. Could be something similar to that spike in Merseyside a few years back where it suddenly rocketed. That time it was mainly among "men who had sex with men" and showed signs of antibiotic resistance
