Age Verification FAQ – UKPunting
Why is UKPunting introducing age verification?
New UK laws require all adult sites to verify users are 18+. This is being enforced by Ofcom, with a compliance deadline of 25 July 2025.
Will you be collecting my ID or personal documents?
No. Verification is done directly with trusted third-party providers. UKPunting only receives a simple "verified" or "not verified" token. We do not see your ID, documents, or personal details.
Do you know who I am in real life?
No. We have no way of knowing who you are. UKPunting remains anonymous.
What about existing members?
We’ve already run extensive internal checks on existing members, based on email history, post activity, payment methods, and consistency checks. Most long-standing members already meet our verification criteria.
What if I was flagged during internal checks?
If your account triggered concerns, you have been contacted privately. Your content has been temporarily hidden until you complete full verification. Once verified, your access and posts will be restored.
What will guests and non-members see?
From 25 July 2025, forum content shown to guests will be filtered and summarised by AI to ensure compliance. Full forum access remains available to verified members.
Is my privacy protected?
Absolutely. Protecting member anonymity has always been core to UKPunting and continues to be.
