Author Topic: ‘On Holiday’ - what’s the deal with this?  (Read 2618 times)

I notice on a lot of agencies, girls will often have their profile marked as ‘on holiday’ and I’m wondering what this means and to what extent it’s a euphemism of ‘quit’.

Is there any common practice to when a WG has her profile taken down vs when it’s simply put as ‘on holiday’.

For example, this WG on Diva is on holiday, but the same WG’s profile on Admiral is basically vacant now.

Is this something thats worth asking an agency about if you want to catch a particular WG if she returns, or are you not going to get a helpful answer?

It often means that they have gone back to their home country for a few months. Many foreign SPs do this. They work a month or two in the UK and then go home for a few months and repeat the cycle. Sometimes groups of SPs from the same country rent an apartment in the UK and take turns working from it over a year, so there's one set of costs that they all share. It's probably s good idea for them.

In other cases it can mean that they really are on holiday.  Some SPs have told me that they do have lives away from sex work and actually do go on holiday with friends and family or just take a few months off to save themselves from seeing our mugs day after day after day after day after day.  Like any job, being an SP can literally suck sometimes, so you can't blame them.  Some redecorate or renovate houses, spend quality time with their kids, help relatives or family members with their businesses.

It's almost like they're normal people who just sometimes choose to shag people for money.  Weird, right?

Obviously I don’t doubt that SPs have lives that include actual holidays. I’m more commenting for the extended periods and the fact that this is the agency’s terminology in some cases. However the first explanation makes sense, thanks.

Also some might be students in the UK and it could be exam season and they want to focus on passing their exams instead of A levels.

I think it can also mean that the SP maybe was a bit exhausted by the job / find the job is not right for them and they take a breather before they decide to quit or return to it, so the agency keeps their profile warm until the SP makes their decision.  Being an SP is quite a demanding job both physically and mentally. It's not for everyone.

Perhaps (because it is June and there are good deals to be had and the weather has been nice) they actually are on holiday?

I’m not doubting that they go on holiday obviously. I’m referring to the heavy use of it by agencies for extended (maybe indefinite?) absences.

To give the impression of more choice than actually exists, and possibly in some cases because they have different outlets in different cities and the girls are rotating between them.

I recall seeing one (British) escort not long after she returned from a foreign holiday and she told me that while she was away she turned on her AW for a couple of days and saw two (also British) punters to top up her spending money.

Online RandomGuy99

Many SPs who are actually on holiday take their AW profile down as it avoids them returning to an inbox full of messages which they then need to either wade through to find the serious SSs wanting a booking or totally delete, so that they have a clean inbox to start from.

Why does it matter?
Are you saving for the one punt you can afford or want to splash out on?  Fixating on someone unavailable?  Move on, so many others to try.
Accept that they aren't currently available to book, to be concerned about anything else is obsession.
Agencies who list girls on hols for months on end are struggling, desperate and/or inept.  IF you enquire and they keep stringing you along then another red flag.  The punting gods are speaking to you, listen.

Why is it so apparently inconceivable to you that they may genuinely be on holiday? I think after being shagged by several (to them) comp!ete strangers a day for several months, I'd need a holiday too!

I'm not sure why are you getting so many odd answers to such a reasonable question for I'm assuming someone relatively new to the hobby.

Based on my experience in a different city the "holiday" or "on a break" status can mean anything from (A) on a holiday (B) working down the road at another agency or (C) had a massive falling out with the agency with both parties screaming at each other saying they will never work with each other again.

You can ask the agency if they have an idea of when the WG might return. They may or may not give you an answer, which may or may not contain the truth. If you have never used the agency before don't expect much information from them, if you use them and spend £200 per week with that agency you can expect more information, but keep in mind they want to keep getting your money so if a WG has moved agency they are very unlikely to tell you that.

WGs sometimes lie to punters, agencies, themselves.
