Anyone tried these?
I avoid everything to do with Mark Zuckerburg and Meta. They just want even more data about you that they can then make money from by selling to others.

I’d definitely be adverse to any company constantly processing where I go, what I see and who I talk to. For me, that immediately trumps any convenience their shiny gadgets may add.

I’m sure Meta and Google etc know everything about me anyway, but I’m not about to pay for a way to make it easier!

I've seen footage filmed with them in a red light district. I think people will either warm too seeing glasses that have cameras in them or react badly and get them banned

Haven't tried them but in general I think Meta have the best value VR offerings.

I have the Quest 2 and they are amazing for the money, but ultimately a frustrating toy which I use every few months or so and then stick it back on the shelf.

Have seen a vid of a Meta glasses prototype (cost was around $20M IIRC) and Google prototype using Gemini multi-modal, and in future they will be amazing, but for now fun toys for most users who don't have a specific business case for VR (such as a product demo for a house or high end car).

Like the Quest worth buying as a toy IMO, as long as expectations are set at that level.
