In my pre booking research I saw that she had a negative for a no show so I spent several hours in AW messaging. All very chatty and responsive.
I said that I would place a booking once I knew I was in my hotel so as not to waste her time if I’d had any travel delays. I had already discussed when it would be for and where and she was happy with all that.
I literally emailed to say ‘placing the booking now’ and about five mins later completed the process. This was about four hours before the planned meet time. Then complete radio silence, no acknowledgment of my email and no acceptance of the booking. I waited and sent a couple of prompt emails, no response.
In the morning I got an email saying she had only just seen the booking and apologising as she thought I wasn’t serious!
I just don’t believe her, I suspect she got a longer booking or one closer, there is no way that the ten or so emails we exchanged prior to the booking gave her any reason to disbelieve me and I also can’t accept that from about 3pm that day until the following morning she didn’t check her AW account once.
