Punting phone suggestions

So I've been using an old iPhone 6 and usually use whatsapp to contact women however that's no longer supported on the old version of iOS so I'm looking to get a new burner. I've always used Apple phones and not familiar with Android phones. I just want a cheap phone that has whatsapp, maps, and an average camera to take photos/videos. I'd be looking to buy something secondhand/refurbed, would you recommend I buy?

+1 on the iphone SE. Perfect size and good battery. But realistically iPhones tend to age well so any cheap iPhone should do.

I'll look for an SE however the 1st gen were released a similar time to the iPhone 6 so I guess I should look for a 2nd generation.

Ah, yeah good point. I guess there's no way of easily checking when buying from Cex or Amazon refurbished?

I just use an app to get phone number and txt message and can link this to “WhatsApp business” both locked with Face ID and set to delete messages after 24h(incase I forgot to do it my self) the apps are also hidden.

Mean I don’t need to hide a phone. Not like I would need to anyhow lol. Just like to be able to change my number when I can so none of them “we know how you are” blackmail messages scam and so on.

No idea about cex but I bought my iPhone 8 a couple years back from Amazon and the battery health was at 75%.
It’s pretty much a gamble

Bit more expensive but iphone 12 mini is good. It's physically smaller than the SE but has a bigger screen.
