What are the rules?
The new rules, external for platforms are subject to parliamentary approval under the Online Safety Act.

The regulator says they contain more than 40 practical measures tech firms must take, including:

Algorithms being adjusted to filter out harmful content from children's feeds

Robust age checks for people accessing age-restricted content

Taking quick action when harmful content is identified

Making terms of service easy for children to understand

Giving children the option to decline invitations to group chats which may include harmful content

Providing support to children who come across harmful content

A "named person accountable for children's safety"

Management of risk to children reviewed annually by a senior body

I agree, I suspect there are people on here who will be very wary about using their credit/debit card for verification in case their "other half" sees it on an account statement - bit difficult to explain away an entry for something like UK Escorts.

Maybe there is a age verification app to let over 18 websites know your over the legal age but without identifying people

The link you have posted refers primarily to children not adult sites in general as has been discussed on the thread linked to.

Ofcom says its "Children's Codes" - the final versions of which have now been published - will offer "transformational new protections".

Plus you're contradicting yourself.   

I think this rule is more aimed at the big porn giants such as pornhub.
I think ukp would be overlooked anyway if they dont make changes.

I mean its one thing thinking that a 15 year old somewhere is accessing pornhub.

which includes this site I assume. 

UKP may not be a porn official website but it does host similar material including links to third party sites that do have porn, etc.

With us being a review site as long as we avoid posting the sort of private pictures and social media links that some people insist on posting we should be alright.
