Just wondering if anyone knows if you can take Viagra tablets if you have high blood pressure?

I am getting close to 60 and last year found out l had high pressure. A couple of months ago the doctor put me
on blood pressure tablets to control this. The tablets seem to be working as my blood pressure readings have reduced.

When l am with a regular l can get an erection when we are kissing or she is playing with me but when we rest for a moment
to catch our breath or talk l lose the hard on my cock. I use a cock ring and a butt plug up my ass which seems to help
but could do being a bit harder when fucking her in the ass or in her pussy like l did when l was younger.

Anyone know if they’re safe to take with high pressure which seems to under control now? I

I would ask your GP better than asking on a punting forum  :hi:

Definitely take medical advice from your doctor.

Blood pressure meds lower your blood pressure.

ED meds also lower your blood pressure

The combination of blood pressure meds (or any other medication) with ED meds can be dangerous, so you should always get medical advice from your GP before taking them.

You don't want to end up dead or causing injuries to others because you wanted to have a shag.

GP, GP, and GP.

You might feel awkward discussing this with your GP, but please don't. Perfectly normal thing to talk about

It will never cease to amaze me as to why some men  (or women for that matter) will not ask a medical professional about such matters. Or anything really.

I once read somewhere about a bloke who had toothache but would not visit a dentist, even though it became gum disease related then poisonous. He died because of it. 🤷🏼

I’m not saying this about the OP. He may just be asking on here before getting an appointment with his GP.

Cos we all know that might take fuckin weeks. 😂

there has also been loads on discussion on this here before - and as always lots of guys will give the benefit of their "advice"!

But the only advice worth taking is as said here on this thread - talk to your own doctor!!

Yes you can, no problem at all.

Caveat, well I can but I can only speak for myself and I did consult my doctor who carried out several blood tests and studied my medical records before prescribing Sildenafil. Far safer than asking on a punting forum.

It sounds like you don't actually have them yet, so will need to either go to your GP, a private doctor or I think a pharmacist can give you Viagra connect, but the GP is your best bet as they'll have your full medical history and if you're already on medication then you can get a prescription pre payment certificate and it'll end up cheaper... You could get one anyway but I mean it's better vfm when you have multiple items on it.

What the OP really needs is a time machine to knock the years back;-)...

Blood presure meds sometimes cause ED or rather make it worse than what it is or might be. A comtraindicaton they call it. Howve they do it seems vary in effect.

I've had to take Nitrates, taking ED drugs not the done thing with those  so we got put on Nicorandil which replaced the nitates and a lady from the chemists  phoned me up asking if i noticed any odd side effects;?. Difficult to stop sniggering with her. Nice Chinese girl too:)

However some intersting reading on a side effect..

A pharmacist will refuse to supply if he thinks you may be on treatment for blood pressure problems

I guess they ask if you are currently taking any medication, have any known medical conditions. So even without specifically asking it should be picked up there.
But that aside is the OPs own responsibility to look out for himself.

As others have said, you need to see your GP. Many of them, mine included, wi!l do phone consultations for this sort of problem, no need to even go to the practice.

This is always good advice, but for many people it's nigh on impossible to get an appointment with a GP. I haven't managed to see a GP for years and only ever get referred to steadily less qualified people - from nurse practitioner, to practice nurse, to nurse etc. Generally only phone calls available. If I need to go in for blood tests etc., they're usually done by a health care assistant, with a follow up call with a nurse, who will give me an appointment on 'a day', i.e. not at a specific time, so calls could be at 8am or 7pm or anytime in-between - this is very difficult to manage when you are working/travelling etc. Invariably I miss the call and am recorded as having missed my appointment.

I'm not sure who gets GP appointments at my practice, presumably children and the very seriously ill. Under such circumstances it's inevitable non-sick people who want advice will look to other sources for medical opinion. Pharmacists can be very helpful but you often have to ask in a shop full of people - not very discreet.
