Hi,

I know this hotel is a popular one with WGs but I’ve not been before and just wondered what the car parking situation is like.  Am I ok to just park for less than an hour or would I need to give my details to reception?  I’d prefer not to so could park nearby if there is anywhere.

Cheers.

you can park up to 4 hours free i believe.  you would need to use the digital kiosk to pay for longer.  but you never would need to.  requires no details for the free 4 hours.

You get 4 hours free parking, I’ve never needed more than an hour.

Walking into the hotel, there’s a girl on the reception pod, walk to the left of her, the lifts are just past on your right.

I tend to smile and know as I walk past.
Never had an issue but she usually looks at you, probably thinking, dirty bastard

Or, if you're the nervous furtive type, go sit in the bar for a couple mins or get a coffee at the Starbucks or whatever.  Nobody cares either way :)

Or come in from the back & go up stairs/lift behind them.

Although short term parking is free they record licence plate numbers to catch over-stayers. You can park in the retail park opposite the hotel instead.

Also, the parking rules are weird. According the the website and signage parking Fri to Sun is "free from 5pm Fri to 3pm Sun. Chargeable thereafter." The implication is that you have to pay on Fridays before 5pm and on Sundays after 3pm.

the retail park is a good option, or the side road going down to the nature reserve.. i've never had a problem at the Village though. if you're only there for an hour tops there should be no issue...
