Made a booking via text. Contacted her beforehand but didn't hear anything back. I arrived on time, texted her, no response. Eventually heard from her an hour or two later said she was busy. Waste of time.

For a first time visit, if I had not got a reply from her beforehand, I would not have assumed it was confirmed and would likely not have travelled in the first place.

Yes agree with this!!
I had another (not punting) appointment nearby so I was travelling anyway
