More incidents of premises being daubed with red paint

Saw that in the NW section……. A few incidents recently over here too.

Forgive my ignorance but I’d assumed it was previously either an upset wife/girlfriend or neighbours who were trying to force the SP or shop out but it seems like it maybe a more organised campaign?

My guess is either a protection racket or more likely Chinese gangs trying to muscle in, driving away non-Chinese Asian competition.
It became apparent around a year ago that there seemed to be a trend toward a change of management in East Midlands / Yorkshire of Thai parlours to Chinese control. I suspect this is part of that same change

This was my thoughts too but i didnt want to say as much on the NW thread

Around the time this kicked off we did start to see an influx of Chinese ads some related to agency type set ups, as the incidents rose i did speak to a few shop owners/mamasans whom i personally know to see if anyone was putting pressure on them and non of them had been approached or threatened in anyway

When one of the shops had been done i did speak to the owner (not Yonlanda) and at the time she was having some personal issues and suspected that it was related to that, however she never got to the bottom of it

Lets just hope the plod dont sweep it under the carpet

Same style of daubing as in East London of late too. I originally assumed it was "Muslim" vigilantism because of proximity to mosque/culture centre. Near me there were some "marches" by them in RLDs about a decade ago.

The incident I reported on earlier this week that happened to Yuri in Huddersfield last Saturday.  From what I know having see the CCTV and info given by Yuri when I saw her Monday, two days after the incident, don't appear they are gang related.

Can't comment on the other two premises that were done over the same weekend in the same area not far apart. 

Yuri was still shook up when I went to see her on the Monday as you would expect. Downstairs window smashed and a right mess with red paint.

I've checked on her a few times this last week and she says she's OK and not to worry.  I'll go see her next week and see if there is any developments from the police.

This is really shocking for the premises and girls concerned,  especially for those who work from home like Yuri.  Hope they catch these idiots

Yuri just said a friend had her salon done close by, didn't get the name and police said, apart from that one, another in the same area had been targeted.

Going back to April last year a place apartments on Cater street was also hit, this was one of the places where the Asian girl i mentioned earlier was working, on this occasion they even wrote her phone number on the walls which she managed to partially scrub out before the authorities arrived

There cannot be any coincidences, too many incidents which are too alike

It sure does, from what i can see it looks like there as been similar issues/incidents in areas around Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, London, Leicester, Liverpool and god knows where else?

Im back over in West Yorkshire this weekend so i may try to see some of the mamasans again to see if they are aware, though i cant see Plod getting anywhere unless they find some CCTV stuff as im sure the indies and shop owners wont really want to make waves
I will also go see the Asian girl who got hit at 3 different locations to see if she as had anymore issues
